As part of the 2008 PickupTrucks.com Half-Ton Shootout, PickupTrucks.com
put six half-ton pickups from Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Nissan and
Toyota through an extreme traction-control test that simulated icy road
conditions to find out which trucks had the best traction control. For more

Here is a article about the new 2010 Toyota Tundra:
Toyota has done a lot to make the Tundra competitive and appealing to
Americas fiercely loyal full-size pickup buyers, from giving it humongous
dimensions and big-rig styling to installing a stompin 381-hp 5.7-liter
V-8. But has it done enough? Evidently not. At the 2009 Chicago auto show,
two new trim levels and a new, populist-grade V-8 made their debut for the
2010 model year.
Two New Trims
At the low end of the Tundra range is a utilitarian Work Truck package that
deletes many standard Tundra comfort features such as keyless entry, power
side mirrors, cruise control, cloth upholstery, silver dash trim, and
various gauges and courtesy lights. On the outside, the Tundra Work Truck
will include a black grille surround and bumpers instead of chrome. The
Work Truck will be priced $550 to $655 less than the base 2010 Tundra,
although the pricing has not yet been finalized.
At the top of the Tundra lineup is a new high-spec Platinum Package for
Tundras ordered both in the gargantuan four-door CrewMax body style and
with the big 5.7-liter V-8. For an additional $5140, the Platinum adds
heaps of comfort and styling features onto the Tundra Limited, including a
new billet-style grille, unique 20-inch wheels, and a smattering of
Platinum badges. The limo-sized interior is made even more sumptuous with
luxury amenities including a tilt/telescope steering wheel, a moonroof, a
navigation system, ventilated seats wrapped in unique perforated leather
upholstery, a wood-trimmed shift knob and door switch plates,
chrome-accented HVAC vents and controls, and headrests with embroidered
Platinum logos. All thats missing is the hot tub. Then again, thats what
the bed is for, right?
Just Right: New 4.6-liter V-8
Just as significant is what may find its way underneath the hoods of
many—if not most—new Tundras: a new 4.6-liter V-8 with 310 hp and 327
lb-ft of torque. This engine replaces the Tundras current 276-hp 4.7-liter
V-8 as the mid-grade engine between the base 236-hp V-6 and the 5.7-liter
V-8. Despite the slight downsize in displacement, the new motor boasts a
considerable 34 more hp and 14 more lb-ft of torque than with the 4.7.
Efficiency gains and a six-speed automatic transmission will allow
4.7-liter Tundras to achieved an estimated 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway,
which would make it the best among competitor standard V-8s and even better
than the Tundra V-6, which is EPA-rated at 15/19.
Regardless of engine or trim, the entire Tundra lineup receives a minor
mid-cycle refresh for 2010 that includes modified grilles,
height-adjustable headlamps, technology updates to the audio systems, and a
new shelf beneath the glove box.

Please see my other video to see this tundra in action! This is my friends
new Tundra that will pull a shipping container and keep it from falling off
a cliff like the commercial says. Don't think he's gonna ever leave his
Tundra at my house while he's out of town again... hehe....
Watch the 2015 Ford F-450 6.7L Diesel Super Duty Debut at the State Fair of Texas
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) Ford introduced its 2015 F-Series Super Duty
lineup at the Texas State Fair and the big news is a better Power Stroke V8
turbo diesel engine. They've also beefed
up the F-450 to make it even tougher. The new Power Stroke features a
larger GT37 turbocharger that measures
72.5 millimeters in diameter versus the smaller GT32 it replaces which came
in at 64 millimeters. This means Exhaust gases have a larger surface area to spin
the turbo so you'll get extra power.
