It is my first car and I've owned her for about 2 years now. Thing is, I struggle to find videos of any clean 510 wagons, or any 510 wagon for that matter, on the web. Well I think it's time we change that. This video was created back in 2012 for purposes of my own use, however, in the light of how little footage there is on the web of dime wagons, I figured I'd re-edit and post it up online. Little about the car when this video was shot: Name: Mary-Ann - Named after the original owner of 39 years Engine: 4 Cylinder L16 Transmission: 3 Speed Auto Drive: RWD Mileage: 172,000 Paint: Original Origon: Northern Cali HP: 92 (when new) Today my car is in a garage undergoing the finishing touches for her new heart, a KA24DE pulled from a 1991 Nissan 240SX. Since this video has been filmed, my 510 has racked a total of 208,000 miles, repaint by MACCO, KA24DE mounted in and a 5 speed manual dropped with the KA. The swap should be completed sometime January 2014. If the roads remain salt free (a well known 510 killer on the east coast), I'll make some videos this February. Feel free to comment.

Honda S2000 engine noise. TCT (Timing Chain Tensioner)
***UPDATE***: Installed a new TCT. The new TCT cost me $250 including install at Firestone. The ticking noise came back about 2-3k mikes later so I sandblasted the worm gear and piston from the original TCT, popped that in and its working fine. So if you need a new TCT, I suggest you just sandblast the worm gear and the inside of the piston of your current "worn out" TCT. Its basically free and it only takes 5 min to take it out, 15 min to sandblast and clean, then 5 min to put it back in.******* ------The first clip is a cold start. Notice the "ticking" or "clicking" noise isn't there AT ALL. The second clip is after a 20 minute drive, (warm engine). When the engine is warm(hot) the VERY Noticeable "ticking/clicking" noise comes to life. This vid is being uploaded for my brother/mechanic. ........Going in Wednesday to get a new TCT (Timing Chain Tensioner) to see if that helps solve the problem. After that probably a valve adjustment.





SR20 510 GoPro Hero2
Playing with my new Gopro Hero2. Its pretty awesome. We tried to show off the shifter that was custom made but it is kinda hard to see. This is not my car, I was just going for a ride. The driver was tuning it for someone on pump gas. E85 tune was the previous day but he ran out, and its unavailable in town. Datsun 510, Sr20det, MS engine management. Datsun 1600 510 SR20DET Turbo AKA FIVETEN
Walkaround & Driving my Datsun 1600 AKA FIVETEN. Its a 1972 Aus Delivered 1600 and has been fittted with an S13 SR20DET Engine & Gearbox, GT28 BB turbo, Microtech ECU, Exhaust, FMIC and the usual bolt ons. Has fully upgraded suspension, brakes (hilux 4 pot front and r31 rear) and a reupholstered interior, recaro seats etc. Car is painted in Alfa Romeo flat black.





Datsun 510 with Honda S2000 engine
Collection of pictures showing how a stock Datsun 510 got his swap from a 03 s2000 donor ;it takes almost the same time chopping the frame for either other swap, so I felt more confortable swapping a s2k engine & tranny on it. I didn't know where to start, but somehow everything started to taking place in a house garage with some basic tool that my grampa left me. Overall this could be called as frankestein swap because of the info and parts used. Ei: Subaru R160 LSD, Nissan Maxima rear calipers with KYB AGX Mitsubishi Eclipse adj shocks , front brakes and suspention provided by Datsun 280zx shocks with eibach springs and Nissan 240sx camber plates with tokiko adj shocks,Datsun 210 brake Booster with 280zx master cilinder, 04 S2000 motor/ tranny with a custom crossmember 50%honda 50% datsun driveshaft. S2000 Cluster on 510 frame, old recaro front seats with Mitsubishi EvoVIII rear seat. mix and match for the datsun / honda wireharness and fuse box , AEM standalone system. Griffin Ford Mustang radiator, with AN radiator hoses.... the list goes for the wiring , same as the brake system and plumbing. It took me around 7-8 months to finish it , working mostly at night and weekdays. The main issue was to keep the most of the original geometry of the Datsun...and basically remained the same, only for the tranny tunnel wich it was extended. custom header and Exhaust, muffler provided by Greddy RSX type S muffler gave a low tone on the open pipe Exhaust. the car ran around last months of 08' ..still need some work as the interior carpet and sound system but heeeey... who cares when you can rev 9k rpm's....!

450hp LS1 1978 Datsun 280Z
One of the coolest imports I've had the opportunity to see in action, this extremely streetable 1978 Datsun 280z takes it's first trip to the drag strip to do some testing. The car has an LS1 with heads, cam, and FAST intake manifold putting down around 450 wheel horsepower! Best 1/8 mile time was 7.11 for the night.

Been a wile since my last video. Not long after I took the video I tore the car apart and have been slowing collecting the parts I needed. It's a fully built SR20. Hks cams and cam gears, cp forged pistons bored .5, cosworth head gasket, 810cc injectors, 57trim .60ar T3 turbo, tial WG greddy BOV. Also put an R200 CLSD in it to handle my projected 400whp.
