1996 Mercury Cougar XR7 V8 Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1996 Mercury Cougar XR7 V8. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
1996 Cougar XR7 - PI Build/Swap w/ Magnaflow Exhaust System
This is a video of the start up of my built up ported PI engine, the Exhaust system, and a short drive off. This build took about a year in total, gathering parts, rebuilding the heads and putting it all together. I still need to get it Dynotuned but that will be for later on. It runs on 94 octane as I want to avoid pinging until i get a tune done. It was fun to see it all come together. Was a lot of work but I never gave up on the project. The Audio level is different in some clips as I used a different camera for them.
My 1993 Mercury Cougar
This is my 1993 Mercury Cougar XR7 Special edition. It currently has about 68,900 miles on it. It has the 3.8 liter V6 which is alright even though I wish it had the 5.0. This car drives like no other it rides great as well. So far I have put on new brakes, rebuilt the valve body in the transmission, changed the oil and cleaned it. I will buff and wax it later as well as change the anti-freeze, put on touchup paint, and fix the little bit of rust on the drivers side rocker panel. It has a Kenwood headunit with an MP3 hookup as well as my Harbor Freight airhorn.

This is a slide show of a 95 Cougar with 39000 miles that I picked up very cheap, did a little cosmetic work to it and now driving it daily.
1995 Cougar V8 4.6
This is my 1995 XR7 with the 4.6 when I first got it a LONG time ago. Still have it! This was back when stock, she has been heavily modified now and sports a 5 speed trans and a lot of appearance mods!
1988 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Burnout
since spring is right around the corner, and this is the last winter the cougar will ever see, I decided to do a 3rd gear burnout in my '88 XR-7
Enjoy
96 Mercury Cougar XR7 4.6V8, Hot Rod Red, Quick Blast to Check Camera Audio
Testing out the mic on the camera to see if it can capture the sound of a much quieter car. The hot rods I've been trying to film lately have been too loud. It seems the Cougar proved to be too loud as well, sounded a bit like a space shuttle launch. I'm going to have to devise a better way to capture the sound. Not an all-out tire smoking launch, but still a mildly entertaining look out the windshield.
