Saab 9-3 bumper and headlight removal
Removing the front bumper and xenon headlight from a Saab 9-3. This is
necessary if you need to replace the xenon ballast. It is not necessary to
remove the bumper or headlight assemblies to replace the bulbs. But, now
you know how, if you ever needed or wanted to.
Abbott Racing 3" Exhaust on Saab 9-3 Viggen
My attempt at recording what an Abbott Racing 3" Exhaust sounds like on a 1999 Saab 9-3 Viggen.
You hear the car start up, then the video switches to a bumper mounted
angle for some real road audio.
It is the full 3" system from the turbo
Poor tools make for a fairly mediocre recording job unfortunately. Shot
using a Sony Cyber-Shot digital camera combined with an Apple iPhone with
suction mount attached to the bumper..... doesn't really make for a good
quality audio recording. The iPhone just cannot handle the brutality :-)
Enjoy... the best I can do for now.
OBDLink MX and Torque on a Saab 9-3 Aero
OBDLink MX and Torque on a Saab 9-3 Aero review.
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2 with CM9 ICS mod.
The OBDLink once again shows why it is worth the price - check how fast and
smooth it reads all the values in Torque ;)
Not much noticeable on the video, but also check the size - which is a
GREAT improvement over the previous. In my car the port is underneath the
steering wheel and the cable from the previous OBDLink used to stand in the

How to Add an AUX Input to a Saab 9-3
This video shows how to add an AUX input jack to a 2003 or newer Saab 9-3.
Before doing this you might want to look in your center armrest and see if
there's one there already. I had one, I just didn't know it. Oh well... I
like the location of this one better anyway. My car is a 2006. I don't know
what year Saab started adding the AUX input in the armrest, but some of the
earlier cars didn't have them.
Anyway, now I have TWO AUX inputs! :-)
If your car is a 2003 through 2005, go here to see how to connect the wires
directly to the pins on the back of the stereo:
Saab History Documentary
In tribute to Saab, here is an old documentary about the history of the
company. It is from the mid 90's and the quality was from a VHS tape. I do
not own the rights to this video. This is for fair use and analysis.
