2002 Mazda Protege ES GT / Autocross / Spin Out

A Mazda Protege testing out new suspension setup at an autcross event. The autocross event was held at a Canadian Forces base runway, which meant the track was high-speed. Apologize for the Blair Witch shaky cam, but I was being tossed like a rag doll in the passenger seat with nothing to grab on. Plus I butted by head a couple of times with the camcorder.

An autocross run in a seriously obnoxious supercharged Ford Probe GT. Everybody at the track loved this car because of the high-pitched Supercharger whine and blow-off valve. The autocross event was held at a Canadian Forces base runway, which meant the track was high-speed. This run was approximately 1m 29s.

This was my first time autocrossing my MX-6. It taught me the limits of my car and how much g-forces I can get out of it before I spun out. I at least 2 summers left on my 8 year old tires, but this event chewed threw them more than I expected. The approximate time for this run was 1m 21s.

Mazdaspeed Protege REVIEW
In this video I give you a full in depth review of a 2003 mazda speed protege'. It has a turbo 4 cylinder engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. Basically, it's not about what's to like about the but more about whats not to like. This car sucks on gas, which would be okay if it was fast. It is NOT a fast car. It is very slow and and more indicative of a four door family sedan (without the good gas mileage). A lot of kids like to street race these cars and put Boost controllers on them but if you do then you will probably have a blown motor. The car handles great in the twisties and has a great sound system.
