Volvo S80 4.4 V8 with CUSTOM EXHAUST on snow&ice (redneck style)
Winter drive in Volvo S80 with a Yamaha's 4.4 B8444S 315 HP engine. Driving
on snow and ice doing donuts and drifting around. All V8 Volvos have AWD
systems as standard. Check what you can do with this car with ESC still ON
as Volvo doesn't allow to turn the system OFF. All you can do is disable
DSTC traction control. The point of this video is to let you hear how
nicely the car sounds with an aftermarket, custom-made Exhaust system which has been made by Moto
Wydech (http://www.motowydech.eu). You can see more videos of this Volvo on
Recorded with GoPro Hero 3 Black edition in 1080p full HD and 60 fps. View
both inside cabin and from the camera mounted on the car.

Sick Volvo S80 4.4 V8 with custom racing exhaust
4.4L 315 horsepower Volvo S80 V8 with
custom-made Exhaust. Sounds great and
draws a hell of a lot of attention on the streets. Who said Volvo can't be
fun! The same B8444S engine is mounted in 650-horsepower Noble M600 (along
2 turbochargers). You'll see the Volvo
accelerate and gain speed quickly. AWD system provides a hell of a lot of
grip and traction. New Haldex-based system works really well, which has
been proved by independent testers. Appeared to work much better that
Subaru's "symmetrical" AWD that could not make the car move with one front
and one rear wheel in the air. Volvo did the job (tested on XC90 and 2004

2015 Volvo XC90 Factory
Production of the 2015 Volvo XC90 at the plant in Torslanda, Sweden.
Symbolising this historic day in Volvo’s 87 year history, the new XC90
will be the first of its cars to carry the company’s new more prominent
iron mark, which has the iconic arrow elegantly aligned with the diagonal
slash across the grille. Together with the T-shaped “Thor’s Hammer”
DRL lights, the iron mark introduces an entirely new, distinctive and
confident face for Volvo’s forthcoming generation of cars.
The XC90’s larger bonnet with its new topography, the beltline and the
sharpened shoulders connecting with the tattoo-like, new rear lights are
other important design signatures that will be mirrored across the range.
To add more visual muscle from the sides, the XC90 comes with a range of
wheel sizes up to 22 inches.
The top of the range XC90 Twin Engine, which combines a two-litre,
four-cylinder supercharged and turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor,
offers an unrivalled combination of power and clean operation: around 400
carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of around 60 g/km (NEDC driving cycle).
The XC90’s interior is the most luxurious to have been designed for a
Volvo. The most striking feature is a tablet-like touch screen control
console, which forms the heart of an all-new in-car control system. This
system is virtually button free and represents an entirely new way for
drivers to control their car and access a range of Internet-based products
and services. It also helps create an interior that is modern, spacious and

in-depth review of it's design and features. He tests the S80's performance
and handling, as well as seeing how practical it is as a day to day
vehicle. Plus we speak to Volvo's project director - Hans Wikman, who tells
us more about the design direction the S80 has taken and what they hope to
achieve with this model.

The Volvo S80 is a mid-size executive saloon/sedan from Swedish automaker
Volvo Cars, and was introduced in 1998 to take the place of the rear-wheel
drive Volvo 960/S90 saloons in the model range. The Volvo S80 was built at
the Torslanda Works in Gothenburg, Sweden. Unlike most Volvo models, it did
not have an estate / station wagon version for its first generation. Now,
the third generation V70 wagon is marketed as the estate version for the
second generation S80 saloon. This is a part of a major product overhaul at
Volvo, including a luxury large estate and saloon.
The first generation Volvo S80 had one of the highest crash test ratings in
the world for five years. The second generation Volvo S80,
in June 2007, scored the highest "good" rating in the Insurance Institute
for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash test performance for frontal, side, and
rear impacts, continuing in the success of the first S80 sedan, earning
it the IIHS Top Safety Pick. The second generation S80 is better engineered
than the previous model, in part due to a more rigid chassis.
The first generation S80 is based on the Volvo P2 Platform. More than
368,000 first generation S80s were built before the introduction of the new
model. This S80 was equipped with numerous safety systems, including
Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) and Whiplash Protection System
WHIPS.The S80 featured a straight-six engine in a transverse engine
mounting. No existing manual gearbox would fit in the engine bay with the
six-cylinder engine, so Volvo had to develop their own, the M65. It
featured also an environmental specification, covering aspects such as
allergens from textiles, fuel economy and the life cycle of the car from
production to dismantling.
The S80 used canbus multiplex wiring.
The S80 was initially available with four different engines. Starting the
range was a detuned 2.4-litre 104 kilowatts (141 PS; 139 bhp)
five-cylinder. This was also available as a compressed natural gas (CNG)
and as an liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) version. The fully tuned version
produced 125 kilowatts (170 PS; 168 bhp). Next up was a 2.9-litre 144
kilowatts (196 PS; 193 bhp) six-cylinder, then 200 kilowatts (272 PS; 268
bhp) T6, and finally, the 103 kilowatts (140 PS; 138 bhp) 2.5-litre
Volkswagen-sourced turbocharged Direct
Injection (TDI) diesel engine. The 2.9 has a straight-six engine, while the
T6 was powered by a destroked twin-turbocharged version.
