Lot S123 1969 Olds 442 convertible
Oldsmobile built fewer than 3,000 442 convertibles in 1969, less than ten percent of total production, so when a fabulously restored example such as this appears on the market, collectors take notice. This beautiful 442 convertible has undergone a thorough frame-up restoration that has returned it to "as new" condition. The Saffron Yellow paint and exterior brightwork are all new, as is the deluxe Black interior, which features bucket seats, center console, Rallye tach and gauges, four-spoke Sport wheel, Hurst Dual-Gate shifter and burled woodgrain trim, all sheltered with a new power top and glass rear window. The rebuilt matching-numbers 400/325 V-8 occupies the highly detailed engine compartment in front of a 400 turbo-Hydramatic transmission. All new heavy duty suspension, W27 aluminum rear-end cover and Exhaust system inhabit the remarkably detailed chassis, which rolls on brand new Super Stock wheels and Red Line radials. Many thousands of dollars were spent on the restoration of this very worthy automobile, which is accompanied by receipts, photos and all important documentation, including the Protect-O-Plate and Oldsmobile information.
