1969 Corvette Coupe For Sale~445hp~LOADS of Money Invested~Loads of History~MUST SEE!
1969 Corvette Coupe
We have receipts totaling more than $25,000 in performance modifications on
this car. The 2nd owner bought this car in 1987, and immediately began the
no expense spared build, which lasted for more than 13 years!!! She has
been driven sparingly over the years, and is still in wonderful condition.
Hi Performance 350 LT-1. He spent more than $7000 in 1988 dollars having
the motor built. The engine features Manley push rods, radiused valves and
titanium retainers. She has a SR-338-12 roller cam, with roller rockers and
hi output oil pump. She breaths through a Holley 750 cfm double pumper and
an Edelbrock intake manifold. The ignition is a full MSD system with built
in 5000 rpm rev limiter. No expense was spared in the build. The crank was
shot peened, and all parts magnifluxed. She was Dyno tuned and puts our more
than 445 horsepower. She exhales
through a gorgeous set of side pipes, and sounds like a NASCAR stocker.
The car was painted in 2000, in Dupont two-part M3467 medium metallic blue.
The paint job cost $8278 (in 2000 dollars!). She still remains in
absolutely stunning condition. The paint job is a 9.5 out of 10 (I never
give a 10)!!! The finish is mirror-like with great depth and shine; there
is no orange peel or hints of orange peel, and very few nicks or blemishes.
In 2000, the entire interior was removed. New leather seat covers were
installed, as well as new seat padding. In addition, new black carpets, a
new factory dash and a new headliner were installed. Very few miles were
put on this show car, and the interior remains in excellent condition.
The 4- speed manual transmission takes its drive through a Centerforce
clutch and a 3:90 Posi rear end with Richmond street gears. The entire
brake system was replaced, including new master cylinder, calipers, pads
rotors, Booster and lines. The
suspension is also in great condition, with fresh bushings and shocks. The
steering is tights, and she stops as well as she goes.
The chrome and all rubber were replaced in 2000, and still in excellent
condition. She has new tires, and the 15 inch replacement wheels, caps and
trim rings are excellent. The pop-up headlights work well, as do the
windshield wipers and all vacuum systems. All badging was replaced. She has
a big block hood.
WE HAVE FULL AND EXTENSIVE DOCUMENTATION ON THIS 20 YEAR BUILD. Used mostly
as a show car, she has done very few miles over the years, and is still in
wonderful cosmetic and mechanical condition.

At RK Motors Charlotte, we've sold some incredible C2 Corvettes over the
years. While picking the nicest OEM restoration would take several meetings
and a few NCRS judges, choosing the most badass pro-touring Corvette we've
ever seen is simple: it's this Atomic Orange 1967 convertible. The subject
of a $500k+ build that included names like Katech, Paul Atkins and The
Winning Collection, this car exists solely to leave other Corvettes with a
devastating inferiority complex.
If you've never seen 3,000 hours of body work up close and personal, take a
closer look at this Corvette's shell. To begin with, fiberglass guru Bill
Thomas stretched the front fenders 2.5" and rear fenders 4.5" while keeping
the factory lines intact. The muscular body also received late model door
handles donated from a C5 Corvette as well as a custom Trans-Am style front
spoiler.Covering that incredible body work is a slick coat of Atomic Orange
paint with a Midnight Black hood stripe.
Adding to the hyper-aggressive look is the use of Teflon coating throughout
the exterior. With the exception of the painted front and rear bumpers,
every piece from rocker trim and the windshield frame right down to light
bezels and door latches is coated. Stronger than powder-coating, this Vette
will keep looking sinister for years to come.
Backing up the aggressive look is a 500cid V8 producing 701hp and 677lb.
ft. of torque with 11:1 compression and pump gas. At the core is a Katech
aluminum block filled with forged internals and topped with an exotic
Kinsler cross-ram injection setup that features carbon fiber ram tubes.
Great looking and incredibly potent, this engine offers usable power across
Backing that incredible mill is a RPM Transmissions-built T56 6-speed
manual that channels power to the rebuilt Dana 44 differential packed with
3.73 gears.Around that drivetrain is a gusseted and plated Jamison tube
frame that hosts a full C4 Corvette suspension. Steering is made easy
thanks to a power rack and pinion setup while braking is provided by a
Wilwood unit that powers 14" rotors with 6-piston calipers up front and
4-piston calipers out back.
Inside, interior master Paul Atkins successfully blended a Lamborghini and
a fighter jet mixing Alcantara, leather and carbon fiber seamlessly into an
attractive but functional interior. Amenities include air conditioning,
trick convenience lights and a custom stereo featuring a 10-inch subwoofer
mounted behind the seat. Behind the hand-built seats, the roll bar ties
into the chassis for some additional rigidity.
Documentation includes two massive folders that cover every inch of the
build from start to finish. Also included are copies of magazine the car
has appeared in including Vette and Goodguys Goodtimes Gazette.
Built by some of the best names in the business with a check very few
people can honestly write, this is a celebration of the Corvette at the
highest level. If you demand the absolute best, don't miss out. Call, click
