The FIA GT1 World Championship is a world championship sports car racing series developed by the SRO Group and regulated by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It features multiple grand tourer race cars based on production road cars and conforming with the GT1 (2010-2011) and GT3 (2012-) regulations competing in one-hour races on multiple continents. Championships are awarded each season for drivers and teams.
The FIA GT1 World Championship has started in 2010 as a successor to the previous FIA GT Championship which featured the GT1 category as well as a GT2 category. In 2012 the series originally planned to move away from exclusive use of GT1 cars by allowing 2009-spec GT2 from the former FIA GT Championship as well as current performance balanced GT3 specification cars to compete alongside the series' current GT1 cars. However as there were no interested GT2 teams and only a handful of former GT1 runners were willing to participate, the SRO decided that the 2012 season would be contested with GT3-spec cars only (yet retaining GT1 in the series' title). All vehices will be performance balanced with weight and restrictor adjustments to make different makes artificially more equal.

Portugal GT1 Championship Race watch again 08/07/12
Portugal - Portimao Circuit GT1 Championship Race watch again 08/07/12
Having secured their first win of the 2012 season in yesterday's Qualifying Race, the ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport Mercedes team recorded a one-two in the Championship Race at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal.
The No.37 Mercedes SLS AMG of Nicky Pastorelli (NLD) and Thomas Jäger (DEU) grabbed the win after a hard-fought battle with their German team-mates Marc Basseng and Markus Winkelhock.
Basseng and Winkelhock had taken the Qualifying Race victory the previous day to round out a perfect weekend for the Saxony-based team. It also meant that Mercedes became the fifth different brand to win a Championship Race in 2012 after Audi (France), Porsche (Belgium), McLaren (Spain) and BMW (Slovakia).

tuned Nissan GTR with over 1200 HP!
This was a special presentation of that infamous car for the members of the GTROC (www.gtroc.org) during the GTROC Japan Tour 2012.
The TRUST company was so kind to invite the GTROC to come and visit the TRUST facility and have a first hand look at the unbelievable GTR 35RX Bensopra.
Just a few days after we stood around the car at the Tokyo Auto Salon we had this great opportunity to watch the car exclusively...but not only were we allowed to watch at every detail, no we were even invited to take a seat in the ultra tight race seat and hit the throttle of that monster.
Thank you very much TRUST/ GReddy!

2010 BMW Z4 GT3 (720p)
The BMW Z4 GT3, which was officially launched and completed its first test drives at the start of March, is already enjoying great popularity among BMW Motorsport customers. The first cars have been delivered to private BMW teams, who will prepare them for use in various national and international championships.
"The feedback on the BMW Z4 GT3 is extremely positive," says BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen. "This sports car rounds off our product range, and offers drivers and teams the opportunity to compete in championships in accordance with the GT3 regulations - such as the FIA GT3 European Championship, the International GT Open or the ADAC GT Masters - as well as at 24-hour endurance races." In addition, the BMW M3 GT2, the BMW 320si WTCC, which complies with Super2000 regulations, and the close-to-production BMW M3 GT4 are also available to customer teams from all over the world at BMW Motorsport Distribution.
The production model of the BMW Z4 is already impressive: with its elongated bonnet, flared wheel arches, long wheel base and narrow projections, the car boasts an unmistakable appearance. The two-seater provided BMW Motorsport engineers with a good basis for developing a close-to-production GT3 racing car.
The largest difference between production and racing car can be found under the bonnet: while the production version of the BMW Z4 is driven by a six-cylinder engine, the GT3 car is powered by a 4.0-litre eight-cylinder engine similar to the unit used in the BMW M3 GT2. This powerful heart produces over 480 bhp. Its excellent performance characteristics and good torque curve make the base engine from the production version of the BMW M3 predestined for use in motorsport.

Le Mans 2012 - Nissan Deltawing debuts at Le Mans
Nissan has released a video of the test at Le Mans. This will be the only chance for entrants to this year's Le Mans 24 Hours to set their cars up for the big race on June 16/17.
For Nissan, the test represented the Company's biggest commitment to the famous French endurance race to date. Nissan will power a quarter of the entire Le Mans 24 Hours field this year, with particular dominance in the LMP2 class, in which 13 out of 20 cars will use Nissan engines. The star of the show was the radical Nissan DeltaWing which aims to complete the legendary endurance race using half the fuel and half the number of tyres of its fellow Le Mans entrants. All of Nissan's key cars performed admirably, with a top 20 place for 2011 LMP2 champion team, Greaves Motorsport, and a trouble-free day of running for the experimental Nissan DeltaWing.

VLN 08-2010 Onboards Frikadelli Racing dreher Mercedes SLS GT3 R
