The EcoBoost vs Camaro... Lined the Flex up against a beautiful 1979 Camaro Z28 in a 1/4 mile drag race... Sounded really good too! But alas, it was no match for the mighty Red Brick of Vengeance, with her EcoBoost power plant!
E-Rod '79 CAMARO Z28 HOT ROD PERFORMANCE TEST
The HOT ROD 1979 Camaro
Z28 powered by the new GM E-Rod crate engine is finished, and the guys take
it to El Toro Marine Base for final performance testing. In this video,
David Freiburger, Nick Licata, and Jason Scudellari flog the Camaro for everything it's worth
to get the final numbers. This Z28 features Hotchkis suspension, Wilwood
brakes, and a paint job so vibrant from Diversified Creations in Michigan
that will make your computer screen buzz.

2013 Ford Flex EcoBoost Car Video & Crossover Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/flex/2013/?id=32972 The 2013 Ford Flex is a
crossover vehicle that has won the hearts of many owners out there. Part
car, part van, and part station wagon; the Flex is full of surprises. Can
any other station wagon haul seven people and all their gear with over 365
are 3 different trim levels starting with the SE which costs $30,885, the
SEL which costs $33,225, up to the Limited EcoBoost AWD which costs $43,850.
There is quite a big gap there but the 3 different trims come in either FWD
or AWD configurations. The SE and SEL are powered by a 3.5 Liter V-6 that
pushes 285 horsepower while getting 18
MPG in the city and 25MPG on the highway. Step up to the twin-turbocharged V-6 EcoBoost engine with AWD will cost you a few
miles per gallon (16 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway), but you
get 365 horsepower
and 350 lb-ft. of torque in return.
The 3rd row seating features a 50/50 split folding bench. The 2013 Ford
Flex is quite versatile and there is a ton of cargo room with over 80 cubic
feet of storage space. The doors are large enough to make entering and
exiting the vehicle a breeze. There is a lot of legroom for adults. Also
the Flex can be purchased with all the Ford technology available like Voice
Activated Navigation to the SYNC in-car connectivity system.
On the outside there is no mistaking the 2013 Ford Flex with any old
crossover or station wagon. The styling is bold and Ford took some risks
with the interesting grille up front, chrome accents, and the grooved door
panels that run down the side of the Flex. The two-tone paint gives the
Flex a modern throw-back feel. The large 20-inch aluminum wheels make a
visual statement. The 2013 Ford Flex is definitely one of the coolest
crossover cruisers out there.

'67 Crusher Camaro vs '70 Super Bee 1,500-Mile Burnout-Fest! - Roadkill Episode 19
On this episode of Roadkill, it's Freiburger in the Super Bee versus
Finnegan in the '67 Camaro as the guys make the trip
from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City and back to go race at the Midnight
Drags at Rocky Mountain Raceways in hopes of running the Bee on Nitrous for the first time since the Hemi was
installed. Which car will work best over 1,500 miles of mayem in three
The 700hp, blown Crusher Camaro is HOT ROD's longest-term
project car, surviving 20 years at the magazine. David Freiburger's 675hp
Hemi 1970 Dodge Super Bee is his first car, having been with him 30 years.
Both cars suffer from magazine-project-car syndrome: getting brief spurts
of attention followed by long periods of neglect. For the first time in
years, both cars were running and driving at the same time.
The Crusher Camaro is a
'67 model that was purchased for $700 in 1994 during California's
car-crushing program; it was rescued from the parking lot of a junkyard
where it was about to be handed in for crushing. It's been through a number
of engines in its time at HOT ROD magazine, and the most recent is a 489ci
bi-block (4.280 bore, 4.250 stroke) with 9.3:1 compression. It has a small,
224-at-0.050 Comp hydraulic roller cam, Holley oval-port heads, and a
Weiand 8-71 Supercharger with two Holley
850HP carbs. The engine makes 700 hp and 720 lb-ft on 5 psi Boost, but is tame enough to drive anywhere.
The transmission is a Gearstar 4L85E that's really awesome, and the Ford
9-inch is loaded with 3.50 gears. The car is styled with Center Line Auto
Drags and a nose-high stance to look like a street machine of the early
¹80s. It has run 10.60 at 125 in the quarter-mile in the same trim seen in
Freiburger's ¹70 Dodge Super Bee is powered by a 10:0:1-compression, 484ci
Hemi with ported iron cylinder heads and a Comp solid roller camshaft. It
also uses a Holley Dominator carb on a custom dual-plane intake manifold by
Dick Landy, whose shop built the long-block in 1995. It made 675 hp on the
engine Dyno, but in
the car is has smaller headers, fairly restrictive Exhaust, and a mechanical fan that pull it down
to around 600. The trans is a Gearstar 727 Torqueflite backed by a Gear
Vendors under/overdrive, and the Strange 60 rearend has 3.73 gears (a
little too high for the
natuarally aspirated combo). The car weights 4,050 pounds with the driver,
and has run 11.80 at 118 mph on the motor.

1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 T-top 4 speed
This is an extremely original survivor quality car. It's factory-equipped
with the Z28 performance package, T-tops, 4 speed, deluxe interior, power
windows and a host of other features. It's spent its entire life in San
Diego and has logged just 76k miles. Other than a stereo system swapped in
