'82 Mercedes 300TDT First Start In 8 Years
Just bought two more of these wonderful cars. This one is a 1982 model,
that sat behind a barn for 8-10 years. I'm going to use this one as a parts
car, because the car is rusted beyond repair.
First Start Of The 6,2 Diesel In My '81 Caprice
Have been working on this conversion for over a month now, working on it
whenever I had spare time. All I'm missing now is the Exhaust and some wiring. Engine is from a 1988
Suburban, I have a video of this engine running in that car. The car had a
350 Olds diesel in it.
Trashpicked A Very Nice 4,5Hp China Diesel
The other China Diesel engines I have are 10Hp and around 500cc and they
are way to big and heavy to use on a gocart. This one is 211cc and 4,5hp
and it's the same size and weight as an old briggs 8hp. This is really a
cool motor, I really like it and it was free to, running perfect. The
generator part was gone when I got it, but I don't want that anyway.
Hard To Start 1983 GMC Suburban 6,2 Diesel
It was around -15 celcius and we had to get the Suburban startet to pull
some other cars. I think some glow plugs were bad, and many of the
batteries we tryed was not good enough. Once it started it knocked like
crazy the first minutte.
Driving in the Olds Diesel
Several people have asked to see more videos driving the Olds Diesel. This
is a cold start in the morning (it was about 40 last night, probably 50 in
the garage), followed by a cruise around the neighborhood. Turn down your
subwoofer - camera picked up some low rumbles that you don't hear while
Drive Out Of Deep Snow 1980 Olds 6,2 Diesel
An old video from '94. The car is a 1980 Oldsmobile, originaly had a 5,7
Olds diesel, but my dad put a 6,2D from a chevy pickup in it, he also
fitted a rebuilt 700 tranny with OD and lockup and a LSD differensial, it
was an awesome car!!
Rebuilt, Reworked Oldsmobile Diesel
First full video of the car since I've redone it. New springs, shocks,
tires, headliner, door gaskets, window tint, trunk lift struts, a/c
compressor, evaporator, heater core, water pump, alternator, radiator,
belts, hoses, transmission cooler. Transmission (200C) has been rebuilt.
Engine has been rebuilt with NOS injectors, NOS .030 over pistons, new rod
bearings, cam bearings, main bearings, camshaft, lifters, Fel-Pro gaskets
throughout, ARP head studs, ARP main studs, injector pump rebuilt by
Stanadyne's service department, pretty much nothing left untouched.
1981 GM Oldsmobile 5.7 diesel started after 13 years
I picked up this '81 Oldsmobile Cutlass with the V8 5.7L diesel engine (
350 DX engine block), I was told it was upgraded with the Goodwrench
engine in 1985 and also a new injector pump . It was parked and forgotten
in a NJ barn in 2000 , not sure why , and it wasn't started since , but
upon installing 2 new batteries it started right up , no noises , knocks or
smoke , it runs beautiful !

gm 5.7 350 Olds Turbo Diesel Station Wagon
Finally One year after its put in we have a video!!!! And 20,000 Miles
Later. This is what we put the Oldsmobile turbo Diesel in, a 1988 Buick Estate Wagon. There
is Some video of the engine running in the car and the pressure gauge. It
runs up to about 7 Psi when we have a load while driving. Pretty nice
running car, we have got up to 30MPG on the highway, and just regular daily
driving we get an average of about 24MPG, from what my father said.
1980 Olds Diesel.wmv
Original advertising laserdisc info for the 1980 Oldsmobile Diesel engine,
audio is harsh, sorry, don't know if it was any better than this in the
showrooms though LOL
1982 Cadillac Coupe DeVille DIESEL
Have you ever seen one of these in person? Not many are left today. This
car has been gone through for reliability, if you can consider that
possible for an Olds 350 diesel. This car (since its an '82) has the
improved DX block, over the D block that was produced first. The D block
and its fuel system were pretty horrid. The DX is a far better engine, but
either can be worked with to become much more reliable. I personally
believe the DX ha more potential. Is it a powerhouse? No way, but gets
respectable fuel economy for such a big car, and hasn't given me any
trouble so far.
I just love the expressions from people I see on the road and at the truck
stops where I fuel up.
Look for more videos of this car in the future!
