2013 Chevrolet Malibu ECO Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive
variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth
look at the all new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu ECO! The Malibu is first being
offered only in ECO trim with a 2.4L 4cyl engine paired with an electric
motor for increased efficiency. Later this year we will see the
introduction of both a standard 2.5L 4cyl and a 2.0L turbo engine to replace the V6 from the previous
gen. This vehicle also has navigation so I will be going over how to use
all of those features. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person
look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up,
performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build
quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and
exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get
from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight
key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available
options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the
good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior
perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a
greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will
find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world,
presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this
gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you
can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is
consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my
presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960
Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of
vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of
the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new,
exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have
built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted
to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco (2011 New York Auto Show)
Chevrolet celebrated Earth Day at the 2011 New York Auto Show by
introducing the all-new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu ECO, the most fuel-efficient
midsize sedan in its 100-year history. It features eAssistâ„¢ "light
electrification" technology, which is engineered to deliver an estimated 26
mpg in city driving and 38 mpg on the highway without compromising
ECO is based on the all-new, 2013 Malibu sedan, which will be sold in
nearly 100 countries on six continents. Sales of the new Malibu begin with
the ECO model in the United States in early 2012. The Malibu LS, LT and LTZ
trim level offerings join the ECO in summer 2012. Pricing will be announced
"The Chevrolet Malibu ECO is a smart choice for customers who want
excellent fuel economy without the price premium of popular hybrid sedans,"
said Rick Scheidt, vice president of Chevrolet marketing. "The Malibu ECO's
38-mpg highway estimate is comparable with those hybrids."
Malibu's eAssist system uses a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery and an
electric motor-generator to enable regenerative braking electric assist and
start-stop functionality. It is efficiently sized, weighing only 65 pounds
Chevrolet Malibu ECO also features an aerodynamic exterior - including
underbody aero enhancements - and electronically controlled shutters in the
lower grille that close at higher speeds to push more air over and around
the vehicle. These enhancements increase aerodynamic efficiency to Boost fuel economy.
An ECO gauge in the cluster continuously responds to driving behavior,
encouraging fuel-efficient driving, while an Auto Stop Indicator on the
tachometer informs the driver when the engine is in start-stop mode.
"Malibu ECO exemplifies Chevrolet's drive to use technology that delivers
high-value, gas-friendly performance," said Scheidt. "In fact, the Malibu
ECO delivers the fuel economy of a compact car in a midsize sedan."
Who is wining in the mid-size sedan war?
In the U.S., the midsize or family sedan has long been the largest segment
of the automotive market. Today, it's also the most competitive, which is
why some of the most advanced electronics such as multipurpose touch
screens and voice-activation are being introduced into these vehicles
before they are even available in many luxury cars.
They offer premium features and quality feel, but because of the intense
competition, you don't necessarily pay more for them.
For years, Camrys and Accords have dominated sales in the midsize market,
but this year the rest of the pack has pulled alongside. In fact, sales in
this segment were led by the Chevrolet Malibu this past June. With an all
new model coming to showrooms in the fall, the 2013 Malibu will be
extremely quiet and refined. Thousands of hours were spent testing every
system in this vehicle to reduce noise. The engineers looked at everything
from engines to tires and door slams to consoles. This car is also the
first "Global" midsize vehicle from Chevrolet to be sold in nearly 100
