GY6 Race Carbs

GY6 Race Carbs The carburetor (or carburettor, carb for short) is a device which mixes air and fuel for an internal-combustion engine. If you have the measurements it also helps when ordering a new carb. MRP now stocks carb replacement kits and repair kits. We also have jets which are essential when fixing a carburator for different locations. If you own a GY6 scooter you should upgrade your Carb to a bigger and better MRP RACE CARB FOR YOUR GY6 SCOOTER. MRP offers a huge selection of Parts for scooters with 150cc and 125cc GY6 QMI152/157 QMJ152/157 4-stroke engines. http://www.martinracingdealer.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Parts+by+Type:carburetor MRP sells Performance engine parts and scooter tuning accessories from Stage6, SSP, Motoforce, STR8, Malossi, Polini, Hebo, Naraku, Top Performances, Arreche and others. Stock Pistons
Stock Pistons for Scooters From DIO to QMB139 Engines we have 50cc 41mm, 42mm, 39mm, 40mm stock pistons for every brand and model from JOG to Honda. MRP carries a wide range of racing pistons from Athena, Stage 6, Malossi, Polini, MRP, Naraku, all the top names! http://www.martinracingdealer.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Parts+by+Type :Pistons Pistons We have OEM and aftermarket from Italkit, Malossi, Polini, Scooter Ninja, Malaguti, QJ, CPI, MRP and more! MRP offers pistons for scooters with 250cc 4-stroke CN250 water-cooled 172mm engines, 50cc 4-stroke QMB139 engines. (This engine is used on virtually all 49cc/50cc 4-stroke Chinese and Taiwanese scooters) we sell pistons for the 50cc 2-stroke 1PE40QMB Minarelli based engine. From ATV to UTV pistons from stock to big bore we got them. Dont forget we also have race and stock cylinders: http://www.martinracingdealer.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Parts+by+Type :Cylinder+Kits Cylinder Kits This is the most common upgrade for racing. Most 50cc 2 stroke and 4 stroke scooters dont have sufficient power for US roads and require an upgraded cylinder. We also offer upgrades for scooters from 50 to 70, 50 to 100, 125 to 155, 150 to 170, 170 to 200, 250 to 280 and in the future many many more. The two-stroke cycle of an internal combustion engine differs from the more common four-stroke cycle by having only two strokes (linear movements of the piston) instead of four, although the same four operations (intake, compression, power, Exhaust) still occur. Thus, there is a power stroke per piston for every engine revolution, instead of every second revolution. Cylinder kits are available in several formats, basically cast-iron with or without cylinder heads, road aluminum with cylinder head and race aluminum with cylinder head. Aluminum is always going to be the best for heat dissipation and features a nicasil plating. The major components of two-stroke engines are tuned so that optimum airflow results. Intake and Exhaust pipes are tuned so that resonances in airflow give better flow. The four stroke engine/cylinder is characterized by four strokes, or straight movements in a single direction, of a piston inside a cylinder: Cast iron is still popular mainly due to the materials lower cost. Cast iron naturally takes longer to get to its operating temperature so there is always the issue of the piston expanding faster than the cylinder resulting in what is called a cold seize. As with any engine proper warm up is necessary for long life. Both Two stroke and Four stroke Buggies, ATVs, Scooters, and Go Karts can be upgraded using our cylinders. We offer cylinders from Italkit, Polini, Malossi, CB, WY, and many more.... We suggest that all Performance Parts be ?matched? so dont use Polini pistons with a Malossi cylinder or vice versa. Also, buying a cylinder might require buying a new Exhaust parts are as they are and if they have a different flange and require you to change the Exhaust it is not our fault or the parts fault. Its the requirement of the upgrade. MRP sells Performance engine parts and scooter tuning accessories from Stage6, SSP, Motoforce, STR8, Malossi, Polini, Hebo, Naraku, Top Performances, Arreche and others. SCOOTER ROLLER WEIGHTS
MRP sells a wide variety of rollers from 50cc to 600cc maxi scooters. We have all the sliders and rollers you could need from the top name brands including MRP, Malossi, Polini, Koso, Naraku, Stage 6, Top Performance and more! Check out our site: http://www.martinracingdealer.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Parts+by+Type :Roller+Weights Roller Weights Roller Weights We highly recommend that you begin by upgrading the variator roller weights before engaging in any performance upgrades. This is the simplest of upgrades and the least expensive for the consumer. We suggest stocking every size for every brand you carry in the store. This is a minimal investment and offers a maximum return. The main rule for tuning variators is: the lighter the roller the more rpm?s are needed to push the rolls outwards through centrifugal motion to set the gear change in motion. Heavier roller weights need lower rpm?s to start moving. Heavier roller weights = slower take off speed, more acceleration, = higher maximum speed. Lighter roller weights =faster take off speed, less acceleration = lower achievable speed. The right balance is an individual choice since a scooter racer will want heavier weights to achieve a higher overall speed so that they might be faster at full throttle. For daily use a driver might prefer lighter weights for more power to take off faster at a stop light. We recommend you stock all of the sizes for the brands you sell due to the low cost and quick. MRP sells Performance engine parts and scooter tuning accessories from Stage6, SSP, Motoforce, STR8, Malossi, Polini, Hebo, Naraku, Top Performances, Arreche and others. GY6 Race Cam
GY6 Cams http://www.martinracingdealer.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Parts+by+Type :Cam+Shafts Cam Shafts also known as "The Cam" are an important component for those looking to race. Cam shafts are only used on four stroke engines. (For practical purposes, however there are many engine designs that are not four stroke that still incorporate them) A performance cam shaft has the timing slightly advanced or retarded from the stock setting depending on the desired result. Cam shafts are connected to the crankshaft via a timing chain or timing gear. There purpose is to regulate the opening and closing of the valves. These in turn regulate the amount and rate of air being drawn in and out of the cylinder for compression and expansion by the piston? we have some of the best CAMS available here at MRP. We offer several race cams from A8 to A15 in stock at MRP for your GY6 Scooter. http://www.martinracingdealer.com/SPD/n-mp-09448-3--8000089B-1178919748.jsp CAM SHAFT FOR GY6 A11 N-MP-09448-3 More power with the MRP CAM PERFECT FOR THE BUGGY RACER OR ATV 200cc http://www.martinracingdealer.com/SPD/n-mp-09448-4--8000089C-1178919748.jsp CAM SHAFT GY6 A12 GY6 Racing CAM UPGRADE N-MP-09448-4 HIGH RPM CAM SHAFT A12: in 26.90MM ex 27.21MM HIGH RPM RACING CAM FOR GY6 ENGINES FAIRLY EASY TO INSTALL INTO YOUR BUGGY WITHOUT REMOVING THE ENGINE (JUST REMOVE THE PASSENGER SEAT) AND WOW! Gy6 50cc Chinese Scooter PAIR System Removal : 139QMB Emissions : Racing Only
This video shows the removal of the PAIR system that introduces air into the Exhaust stream on a GY6 50 powered Chinese scooter ( Tao Tao ATM50-A1 ). There really isn't a performance benefit if the system is functioning properly, and some believe removal of this system can lead to clogging of the catalytic converter. PAIR systems and the air they move into the Exhaust stream could be detrimental to the accuracy of user-installed Exhaust mounted metering systems. DO NOT REMOVE ANY EMISSIONS COMPONENTS ON ANY SCOOTER THAT WILL BE USED ON PUBLIC ROADWAYS! OFF-ROAD / RACING USE ONLY! THESE COMPONENTS ARE REQUIRED TO MEET EPA STANDARDS FOR ROAD VEHICLES! This video shows how to change the engine (motor) oil on a 2012 Taotao ATM150-A Evo Chinese scooter, 157QMJ 150cc GY6. I use Valvoline synthetic racing 20W-50, higher weight because air-cooled GY6 engines run hot. Another popular motor oil is V-Twin Power for air-cooled Harley Davidson bikes, and it's also 20W-50. Royal Purple is another option. What kind of oil to use in GY6 engines is always a hot topic on scooter forums--do your research and use what works best for you.

The Ultimate GY6 Starter & Ignition Troubleshooting Tutorial
If your GY6 scooter will not start, then look no further than this video to discover the solution to your problem. This video covers everything in a step by step, easy to understand format. All that is required is your time to troubleshoot as shown in this video, and a digital multimeter with AC/DC voltage up to 100V, as well as an OHMS range up to 10M or 20M. The video was created for GY6 125/150cc scooters, but the test procedures outlined in this video likely also apply to 50cc's as well. If you have any other questions regarding something I did not cover, then post them in the comment section. Also be sure to share/post links, check out my other videos as well, and rate a THUMBS UP. Thank You!
