GY6 Race Carbs
The carburetor (or carburettor, carb for short) is a device which mixes air and fuel for an internal-combustion engine. If you have the measurements it also helps when ordering a new carb. MRP now stocks carb replacement kits and repair kits. We also have jets which are essential when fixing a carburator for different locations.
If you own a GY6 scooter you should upgrade your Carb to a bigger and better MRP RACE CARB FOR YOUR GY6 SCOOTER.
MRP offers a huge selection of Parts for scooters with 150cc and 125cc GY6 QMI152/157 QMJ152/157 4-stroke engines.

Pistons We have OEM and aftermarket from Italkit, Malossi, Polini, Scooter
Ninja, Malaguti, QJ, CPI, MRP and more! MRP offers pistons for scooters
with 250cc 4-stroke CN250 water-cooled 172mm engines, 50cc 4-stroke QMB139
engines. (This engine is used on virtually all 49cc/50cc 4-stroke Chinese
and Taiwanese scooters) we sell pistons for the 50cc 2-stroke 1PE40QMB
Minarelli based engine. From ATV to UTV pistons from stock to big bore we
Dont forget we also have race and stock cylinders:
Cylinder Kits This is the most common upgrade for racing. Most 50cc 2
stroke and 4 stroke scooters dont have sufficient power for US roads and
require an upgraded cylinder. We also offer upgrades for scooters from 50
to 70, 50 to 100, 125 to 155, 150 to 170, 170 to 200, 250 to 280 and in the
future many many more. The two-stroke cycle of an internal combustion
engine differs from the more common four-stroke cycle by having only two
strokes (linear movements of the piston) instead of four, although the same
four operations (intake, compression, power, Exhaust) still occur. Thus, there is a power
stroke per piston for every engine revolution, instead of every second
revolution. Cylinder kits are available in several formats, basically
cast-iron with or without cylinder heads, road aluminum with cylinder head
and race aluminum with cylinder head. Aluminum is always going to be the
best for heat dissipation and features a nicasil plating. The major
components of two-stroke engines are tuned so that optimum airflow results.
Intake and Exhaust pipes are tuned so
that resonances in airflow give better flow. The four stroke
engine/cylinder is characterized by four strokes, or straight movements in
a single direction, of a piston inside a cylinder: Cast iron is still
popular mainly due to the materials lower cost. Cast iron naturally takes
longer to get to its operating temperature so there is always the issue of
the piston expanding faster than
the cylinder resulting in what is called a cold seize. As with any engine
proper warm up is necessary for long life. Both Two stroke and Four stroke
Buggies, ATVs, Scooters, and Go Karts can be upgraded using our cylinders.
We offer cylinders from Italkit, Polini, Malossi, CB, WY, and many more....
We suggest that all Performance Parts be ?matched? so dont use Polini
pistons with a Malossi cylinder or vice versa. Also, buying a cylinder
might require buying a new Exhaust
parts are as they are and if they have a different flange and require you
to change the Exhaust it is not our
fault or the parts fault. Its the requirement of the upgrade.
MRP sells Performance engine parts and scooter tuning accessories from
Stage6, SSP, Motoforce, STR8, Malossi, Polini, Hebo, Naraku, Top
Performances, Arreche and others. Racing cylinder kits, Exhaust systems, clutches, variators,

Gy6 50cc Chinese Scooter PAIR System Removal : 139QMB Emissions : Racing Only
This video shows the removal of the PAIR system that introduces air into
the Exhaust stream on a GY6 50 powered
Chinese scooter ( Tao Tao ATM50-A1 ). There really isn't a performance
benefit if the system is functioning properly, and some believe removal of
this system can lead to clogging of the catalytic converter. PAIR systems
and the air they move into the Exhaust
stream could be detrimental to the accuracy of user-installed Exhaust mounted metering systems.
DO NOT REMOVE ANY EMISSIONS COMPONENTS ON ANY SCOOTER THAT WILL
BE USED ON PUBLIC ROADWAYS! OFF-ROAD / RACING USE ONLY! THESE COMPONENTS
ARE REQUIRED TO MEET EPA STANDARDS FOR ROAD VEHICLES!

Simplest Way To Replace A GY6 Scooter CV Belt
This video was made as a result of a few misinformed comments I received on
my other GY6 video in which I had a BROKEN clutch pulley that resulted in
the belt being more difficult to remove. This video demonstrates how easily
a GY6 CV belt can be removed/installed, when your variator and clutch
assemblies are in perfect working order.

GY6 150cc Final Gear Swap Scooter in Traffic.mp4
I made a new video to show how my scooter handles in traffic with some
In my last video, I was running 16gram variator weights, Red clutch torque
spring and an A10 camshaft.
This time, same camshaft but switched out to 13gram weights and Yellow
clutch torque spring BUT also switched out the final drive gears to a tall
17/37 from low 13/40. Along with the variator and clutch spring mod, this
final drive gear swap really helps my 10 inch wheel scooter cruise in the
low to mid 50s and reach 60 when I'm not going against a strong headwind.
These speeds are according to the Chinamometer and are not GPS confirmed.

(4)- KEIHIN 28MM CARB VS OKO CARB
This is a series on how to compared expensive Keihin 28mm carbs to the
cheaper OKO company model. I also show you how to gain confidence in
tearing down your bike carbs and fixing them really easy. Practice makes
perfect and most carbs are just very simple fuel metering devices with very
few moving parts.
Chinese Scooter 49cc 64cc difference 139qmb and 1p39qmb
Here is the difference from a Taotao, Peace Sport and the Renegade 64cc
engine and a 49cc Roketa engine
this is why most Taotao scooters are faster than most other 49/50cc scooters
if your engine code is 1P39QMB you have a stock 64cc engine if your engine
code is 139QMB you have a 49/50cc engine.
A stock but un restricted 1P39QMB engine can hit speeds around 50 mph
The CDI box in a Taotao, Peace Sport and the Renegade
I have never seen a Roketa scooter with a stock 64cc engine
Check your engine codes and let me know what you come up with.
The Ultimate GY6 Starter & Ignition Troubleshooting Tutorial
If your GY6 scooter will not start, then look no further than this video to
discover the solution to your problem. This video covers everything in a
step by step, easy to understand format. All that is required is your time
to troubleshoot as shown in this video, and a digital multimeter with AC/DC
voltage up to 100V, as well as an OHMS range up to 10M or 20M. The video
was created for GY6 125/150cc scooters, but the test procedures outlined in
this video likely also apply to 50cc's as well. If you have any other
questions regarding something I did not cover, then post them in the
comment section. Also be sure to share/post links, check out my other
videos as well, and rate a THUMBS UP.
