HOT ROD Magazine's 1,100 Horsepower Bonneville Big-Block
This is the engine that will be in the Turk/Freiburger So-Al Special Camaro at Bonneville in 2011. It's a 4.560x3.766, 491ci big-block Chevy with 10.0:1 compression, AFR 335 heads, a 272/276-at-0.050 solid roller cam, a Brodix ported intake, and a 1,000 HP Holley. The Blower is a Vortech YSi at 9 psi peak, and it's blowing through one of the new "flying saucer" carb enclosures. The best power was 1,099 at 7,000 rpm.

Couldnt find any Tutorials on Youtube of how to start up an engine.

Big Block Cchev 454 with choppy idle, Comp XE268H-10 475hp/525tq
Petey's Rat-Rod (50 yr old in 2013)0 makin some choppy tunes.
Open un-capped fenderwell exit headers . Bought this truck in 86, saved er from the crusher, did a ground up rebuild, this is her 4th engine. Paint is John Deere Blitz Black.
Cam is a Comp Cams Extreme energy EX268H-10, flat tappet, 224/230* @ 0.050"' .515/.520 valve lift. Major head work big valves, flow bench ported, Flat top pistons, Holley 750 DP, Hooker competition headers, approx 475 hp. 525 ft.lbs. torque. Tranny is a wide ratio 4 Spd, Rear end is a lockered 3.25:1 Ride is firm with big sway bars front and rear, fast too. mostly was used for towing my stock car summers only. I'm thinking of swapping in 2.73s now that i dont tow much these days.
Check out the water cooling lines running to the back of the intake manifold. Truck is a 63 f-100 uni-cab, last year for the strait axle front end. rear tires are 295 Toyo proxes way stickyer the than the old T/As. the T/As were great for doin burn outs at will, The old Weiand Action+ plus (big runners) is bar none one the best intakes for the 454 far superior to the Edelbrock performer,. Love the strait axle front end, steers real nice like a sprint car. brakes are a little squirlly at times.

355 with Flat tops, 10.5 to 1 comp. Lunati Bracket Master II cam .480 lift 292 duration, ported 64 CC Double Hump heads, Full roller rockers, Holley Street Dominator intake, 750 Holley carb, MSD cap and 8.5 wires, Full length headers going into a pair of Dynomax race bullets.
Engine backed by a freshly rebuilt turbo 350 with a 2000 RPM stall.
