Rx7 flips during burnout & Starlet crashes up top end
Rough day for these 2 teams that were both representing Dominican rep. Both drivers were ok but the starlet looked like it suffered some pretty bad damage in my opinion, dam shame.....

Accident during testing at Brotherhood Raceway, Terminal Island, Long beach, California. 1994
Luckily no one was seriously injured in the accident, because of the track configuration and only having one camera at the starting there is no actual footage of the wreck, however the coverage of the aftermath is something that is almost never seen.
The moral of the story is to always pay attention to the race surface where you are at, if it is unsafe DO NOT do it and always wear your protective gear, helmet, gloves, leathers.
"Black Sunshine" was repaired and has a happy home in Utah.
A truly 'bizarre' Drag Racing Accident
Jacque Bidard, an experienced drag racer, knocks himself 'out-cold' during a ferocious start line launch and, whilst still unconscious, he unfortunately keeps his foot firmly planted on the throttle pedal - with disastrous results!
Event: the 'Nitro-Olympics' - held over the 1/8th mile distance drag strip.
Circuit: The Hockenheim, German Grand Prix circuit.
