1990 Chevy 454 SS Pickup

I thought you'd like a look at this very sharp 1990 Chevrolet 454 SS pickup. These trucks were real hot back in the early 90's, mostly because they were wicked tire burners. While that 454 didn't make tons of horsepower, it did make plenty of torque to melt off a set of tires. This one is a nice straight example that really hasn't been messed with. Other than the 17" aftermarket rims, it looks entirely stock. All it really could use is a good wash and detail. I hope you find it interesting...thanks for watching! Trans Am 357 V8 First Test Drive Video After Engine Swap
This our first video of the Trans Am in action after the engine swap. Obviously, the videos will be more interesting after we break the engine in a bit more. Right now, we are still adjusting and tuning things. After the engine has sufficient time to break in, we'll show you what it can really do. Thanks for watching!

Test Drive 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona 440 V8
It's not often that we get to look at a car like this one. It's an original 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. This beast is one of only 503 Daytona's built and it's in truly immaculate condition. It's still powered by the original 440 V8 4 BBL, factory rated at 375 HP and 480 Lb-Ft of torque. This is one of the famous winged cars, that forced rule changes in Nascar after breaking all the speed records at the time. It's painted in the correct T5 Copper paint and it's riding on a beautiful set of Magnum 500 chrome rims, with white letter tires. This is definitely one of the most collectible Mopar's of all time and one of the most sought after muscle cars of any type. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look! Country Classic Cars Tour - Part Three - Hot Rod Muscle Car Project Cars Vintage Classics
This is the third part in my tour of Country Classic Cars in Staunton. This is actually the smallest of all their sheds, but there are still some interesting cars in there. They generally have about 600 classic cars and hot rods in stock at any given time. I hope you like taking a look around. 1970 Dodge Challenger 440 V8 Sublime Green Mopar Muscle Car
I thought you'd like a look at this very clean 1970 Dodge Challenger. Named to "challenge" anyone on the street, this Dodge debuted in 1970 and became an instant classic. Under the hood, you will find a powerhouse of nostalgic engineering, a 440 CID V8 wedge engine. These engines are known for their power but are not as hyped as the popular Hemi. The transmission is a stout 727 TorqueFlite automatic which has been known to handle up to 550 horsepower. The exterior of the car is the factory Sublime Green color that it had in 1970. The interior is comprised of new black vinyl and looks very clean. The interior matches the vinyl top on the exterior of the car. The car was completely restored in 2007 and looks amazing. Before the epoxy paint the car was taken all the way down to bare metal. We even place mirrors along the underside of the car in our showroom to highlight the craftsmanship. The 440 engine has been bored .030 over and offers a mild camshaft and 2 1/2 inch stainless steel Exhaust. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look! 133291 / 1991 Chevrolet C/1500 454 SS
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/bqqd2k3 While other automakers had toyed with the idea, It was the GM camp who first introduced a proper sport truck with their potent 454 SS models based on the venerable GMT400 platform. With big block power and sportier suspensions, these pickups traded towing capacity for time slips and opened a lot of enthusiasts' minds in the process. Placing the classic pickup under a different light made room for the creation of trucks like this fire-breathing 1991 454 SS. Starting with one of the best looking full size Chevy trucks to roll off the assembly line in years, designers stripped the truck to its bare essentials -- no chrome, no extraneous trim. Like most of these pickups, this one no longer retains its stock paint but the coat of black sprayed across the exterior of this pickup is far deeper and far richer than any black ever shot in a General Motors plant. Helping that black paint pop is the immaculate body underneath which is free of any discernible flaws. While the truck still has its factory fascia and rub strips along the side, a few pieces have been added for some extra visual appeal. At the front, a fiberglass cowl hood harkens back to the muscle car era while tradition pin stripe adds some awesome detail. A custom red and gray stripe leads the eye to the 454 SS badge at the rear of the bed while an aftermarket roll pan replaces the unsightly stock rear bumper. While the 454 SS had a healthy powerplant to begin with, this truck takes that idea to the next level. Pop the fiberglass cowl hood and you'll find a completely rebuilt 454 V8 churning out an estimated 650 horsepower with its current tune. Built by the team at Terry Walters Precision Engines in Roanoke, Virginia the motor features fresh internals and an intercooled ProCharger system. Breathing through Edelbrock headers and Flowmaster mufflers, the truck has one hell of a bark that will let everyone in the area know something serious lives under the hood. Directly behind the 454, a Bowtie Overdrives heavy duty 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission takes care of gear selection. The driveshaft remains a stock piece as does the massive 14-bolt differential packed with 4.11 gears. The truck has been lowered roughly three inches and features a two-link with coilovers to keep the rear end planted. Quick ratio steering was part of the SS package as were the power front disc brakes. To play up the hot rod theme, a set of polished 15-inch Halibrand five-spoke wheels were ordered and wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber in sizes 245/60 up front and 275/60 out back. Between the doors, the impressively clean Garnet Red interior remains almost completely original. The high-back bucket seats are in excellent shape and the dash remains as it left the factory. The only notable addition is a pair of Autometer gauges that monitor Boost and oil pressure from their place on the driver's side A-pillar. The best part about this truck is that it isn't some outlandish custom that can't be driven. The truck fires up and functions just like the stock piece -- it just has A LOT more power. With great looks and a special place in GM history, this 1991 454 SS is a great truck to drive, enjoy and hold onto. If you always wanted a little more from the 454 SS trucks, don't miss the opportunity to snatch this one and get a whole lot more bang for the buck.
