Yes, it's still a street legal car that gets driven on the street. Gonna try some slicks on it now. All brightwork is now powdercoated in a special order color called "Bronze Burst". See my other videos for action shots of the car running 9 second 1/4 mile passes. Here is my 78 Buick Regal fresh out of the paint booth. Still has a few pieces yet to be put back on, but it is looking good!!! The color is House Of Kolors Candy Tangerine over silver base coat. The car is street legal and runs mid 10s at 127 MPH in the quarter mile on drag radials with a naturally aspirated Chevy small block motor. Should be going quicker soon. In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience to be able to check out one of these beasts. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself!
