The let down came when the hood was opened to reveal a 138 horsepower 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine that was more suited for fuel efficiency rather that for performance. Well now you can have your cake with the release of the 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo! The base price on the turbo model is $21,950.
The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo is powered by a twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine based on the standard Veloster Gamma GDi engine. The turbo motor has a lower compression ratio at 9.5:1 to handle the added Boost pressure. The gasoline direct injection (GDi) motor also sports Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT). Power output for the turbo engine is 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft. of torque which puts the Veloster turbo right in the middle of the sport compact car pack. The standard transmission is a 6-speed manual but there is also is 6-speed automatic version with paddle shifters. The manual is the more fuel efficient transmission at 26 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway.
On the outside the Hyundai Veloster turbo model is distinguishes itself from the regular model in a few ways. For started, the Veloster turbo has a huge wide-mouth front grille opening to let in vast amounts of cool air. There is also a lower lip spoiler on the turbo model. Another cool feature found on the turbo-only model are the LED lights front and back. The front projector headlights sport LED daytime running light accents which are normally reserved for high end luxury vehicles. The wheels on the Hyundai Veloster turbo are 18-inch alloy units that combine both a matte and chrome finish. The limited edition matte gray pain job will set you back an additional $800, but the finished result is well worth it. The standard non-turbo Veloster features squared Exhaust tips while the turbo model has rounded ones.
The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo can be considered one of the hottest new hatchbacks on the market. Not only does the Veloster turbo have over 200 horsepower, but this car can get up to 38 MPG on the highway. The 2013 Veloster turbo looks great and comes packed with tons of standard features.

2013 Scion FR-S New Car Video Review

This 2-door coupe is a very fun car to drive and is a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru. Back in 2007 the 2 manufacturers decided to build this car together so much of the engine technology, parts, and even the chassis is shared. Base price on the 2013 Scion FR-S is $24,200.
The 2013 Scion FR-S is powered by a 2.0 liter boxer engine which is a essentially a flat-4 cylinder motor developed by Subaru. Power is pretty good for a naturally aspirated 2.0 liter engine at 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft. of torque. There are 2 different transmission choices: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The automatic transmission is much more fuel efficient at 25 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway.
The Scion FR-S was designed to be a great handling everyday affordable sports car and while this vehicle does not have a ton of power, it does have a great center of gravity and almost perfect weight distribution (for a front engine car) at 55% front and 45% rear. To illustrate just how serious the engineers are about the handling capabilities of the 2013 Scion FR-S, the car has a lower center of gravity than both a Nissan GTR and Porsche Boxster which are considered some of the best handling cars in the world.
The exterior of the Scion FR-S conveys a ton of fun. Scion calls this styling Neo-Functional Design and the car is all about being low, light, and beautiful. It is all about power-to-weight ratio in this car and features like an aluminum hood help keep the curb weight down to 2750 lbs. The 17-inch alloy wheels are not only very stong and lightweight but they also look good! The dual Exhaust system and rear diffuser really tie the whole look of the rear end together.
With the 2013 Scion FR-S you will be able to accessorize and customize this car in a number of different ways by choosing the paint color, adding optional wheels and a body kit, or upgrading the stereo. The Scion FR-S was designed from the ground up to be an affordable car that you could drive on the streets then take out on the track for a little fun.

The 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT is targeted at families or married couples that want a great design, functional car, and excellent fuel economy. The Hyundai GT delivers 39 MPG on the highway in both manual and automatic form. On the outside the front end of the Elantra GT is completely unique from the existing sedan with its chrome accented grille and projector headlights. The panoramic sunroof is a first for any vehicle in the compact car segment. On the inside of the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT there are many premium features including heated and leather front seats, proximity key, push-button start, and more. The Elantra GT offers the functionality of a 5-door mixed with excellent fuel economy as well as tons of standard features.

The 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe is targeted at people looking for an alternative to a 4-door sedan. The Elantra Coupe offers expressive styling starting with a unique front grille featuring piano black accents, integrated triangle fog lights, and a sleek profile. The 17-inch alloy wheels are unique to this model as is the integrated rear spoiler and dual Exhaust tips. The Elantra Coupe gets up to 40 MPG on the highway. On the inside the Elantra Coupe has more room than the Kia Forte Coupe and the Honda Civic Coupe. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo is a sweet little ride that is powered by a 1.6 liter twin-scroll turbo GDI engine that makes 201 horsepower; a 46% increase over the non-turbo model. The Veloster turbo has the ability to get 38 MPG on the highway. Not only is it powerful but the Veloster looks good too. The model seen here is painted in a matte gray finish which is usually reserved for more expensive luxury cars. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo also looks different from the non-turbo model thanks to the bold unique front fascia, body kit, LED headlights, and 18-inch wheels with chrome accents.

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Test Drive & Car Review

The Genesis Coupe has always been lumped into the muscle car category with its front engine, rear-wheel drive platform. But the muscle cars have always held a distinct power advantage until now.
The base engine for the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder. Power is up 30% from 210 horsepower up to 274 horsepower. An upgraded dual-scroll turbo, larger Intercooler, and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing help achieve these better power figures. Fuel economy for the 2.0 liter engine is 21 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. The other engine choice is a direct-injected 3.8 liter V-6 which produces 348 horsepower. Fuel economy for this engine is expected to be 18 MPG in the city and 28 MPG in the highway. There are two transmission choices available in the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe: an 8-Speed automatic or a 6-speed manual.
On the outside the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe retains the same overall shape but the styling has been changed to reflect the rest of the Hyundai line-up. Up front the Genesis receives a more aggressive look thanks to an upgraded hood with two scoops, new front fascia, and larger bumper opening. Out back the Exhaust gasses exit out dual asymmetrical chrome pipes. The lights have been upgraded to include LED daytime running lamps which can be found on high end luxury cars. The R-Spec and Track editions will receive huge 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe features an available 360-watt Infinity sound system. There are steering wheel controls for the audio system and the usual iPod, USB, and auxiliary ports. A navigation system can be purchased as an option that includes a 7-inch touch screen monitor. The rear seats have been designed with comfort in mind. Instead of stuffing 3 seats in the rear; Hyundai has decided to go with only two. This means there is a ton of room for the rear occupants.
When the Hyundai Genesis Coupe arrived on the scene a few years ago it was certainly a respectable car. In fact it was this car and the sedan version that really gave Hyundai a Boost in the automotive world. Now with the 2013 model there is more power! The base model 2.0 liter Hyundai Genesis Coupe starts at $24,250 and the top of the line 3.8 liter with the track package will retail for about $33,000.

The BMW 640i Gran Coupe has a couple of different driving modes from Sport+ which enhances performance, to Comfort which softens up the suspension and ride, to ECO mode which targets the best fuel economy possible.
The exterior of the 2013 BMW 640i Gran Coupe is comprised of a very sleek profile and a wide stance. The proportions of this luxury car are very elegant and sporty at the same time. The paint is The Gran Coupe can be ordered with BMW's xDrive all wheel drive system. With the BMW Individual Package you can get a couple of premium colors including the Frozen Bronze Metallic as seen here. Interior space is less than a larger sedan but the Gran Coupe is still a very comfortable and upscale car. The ergonomics are great and the rear can seat 3 people if necessary. As with any other BMW, the materials used on the interior are high quality.
The 2013 BMW 640i is the best of both worlds with its 2-door styling and 4-door convenience. BMW has raised the bar with this Gran Coupe edition of the 6-Series. The coupe looks great on the outside and is packed with lots of technology and standard luxury amenities.

First Drive 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo
We took the 2013 turbo Veloster for a spin around the block to see how it compares to the 2012 normally-aspirated Veloster. Besides the fiercely-handsome looking exterior, with its new awesome gun-metal alloy wheels, two-tone side-skirts, and the intimidating twin Exhaust, we found the interior more sporty and serious, shedding away the silver accents on the dash in favor of a mean-looking dark gray tone. The sports seats are very handsome and sporty, and we found it well bolstered and supportive to hold you during tight turns. But the main difference is the power, which was very evident during hard acceleration and at high speed run.
