This is one feature car you wont want to miss. Plus, interviews with young racers Shanelle Dobson, Scotty Miller and Goof Sherwin, and we went out to Pukekohe with one of the best presented Central Muscle Cars; Glenn Alinghams big block Camaro. Studebaker US6 "Frozen In Time" (Engine Overhaul)
In the summer of 2009 this 1945 Studebaker US6 was brought back to life and driven 75 miles back to civilization after being abandoned in the remote Alaskan wilderness and "frozen in time" for two decades. Now in June 2013 the old war horse is getting some much needed TLC and a new lease on life. This truck was built on May 23, 1945 -the day Himmler commits suicide.

Studebaker Commercial (1950)
Studebaker Commercial (1950)

Studebaker car commercials aired 1950
These were "local" commercials that aired during a 1950 episode of a popular-yet-short-lived "local" Los Angeles television series. For some reason, I can imagine King Kai driving a car like this.

NZV8TV Ep3 - Nostalgia Drags, Central Muscle Cars, Willy White, doorslammers - Part 1
Central Muscle Cars We head back to Taupo Motorsport Park and catch up with three of the leading Central Muscle Car drivers; Paul Urqhart, Shane Wigston and series founder Steve Hildred. Willy White New Zealand's fastest ever drag racer talks to us about the ins and outs of running a nitro funny car. With a best pass of 5.47 @ 264mph, Willy certainly isnt afraid of showing the rest of the nation how things are done. Taylor and Taylor Speaking of drag racing, this years Top Doorslammer Champion Ross Taylor along with son Jason run us through the details of another one of their cars. Although its another 57 Chev, its certainly not as quick as the Taylor And Taylor car we all know and love. Rat Rod While down at the Nostalgia Drags we spied a car that certainly doesnt look like it should be on a drag strip; Neil Surtezs awesome rat rod. This Cadillac flathead powered machine sits its belly on the floor and lifts all four wheels off the ground, making it one serious crowd pleaser. Nostalgia Drags Each year at the Nostalgias a bunch of Aussies are bought over for the locals to go head to head against. We catch up with local drag racer Paul Pins Satler and Aussie John Fleming to watch an epic battle of nostalgia styled front engine dragsters.

Twin Turbo Studebaker 2009 Dyno Session
After installing upgraded turbochargers from www.timsturbos.com, we're back on the chassis dynamometer to retune for the new power. The car currently holds a SCTA Record at Bonneville for Altered Coupes running 500" or greater, forced induction engines: 241mph. It only needs another 5mph to qualify for entry into the 200mph Club at Bonneville, which is a difficult accomplishment. Thus, We added exactly 100hp and 100 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels, this time carrying it all the way to 7000RPM. This is a 515 cubic inch Merlin Big Block chevy. Megasquirt EFI with 150lb/hr injectors, a pair of modified GT38 turbochargers, external wastegates, custom air-to-water Intercooler. This car is built for landspeed racing.

Studebakers at the 2011 Daytona Turkey Run
Studebakers gather at the 38th Annual Turkey Run on Thanksgiving weekend November 24-27, 2011. The five Studebaker Ladies set everything up, including reserving the area and providing a complete Thanksgiving dinner. I had to hold the camera close to my mouth so the microphone could pick up my voice. That made it sometimes hard to see what I was recording. Consequently, later in the video, I got some great shots of my car's steering wheel and dashboard.
