Ford Taurus SHO vs Ford Mustang GT
Two of the greatest cars I've ever owned. My 1990 Ford Taurus SHO, highly
modified, up against my 2005 Ford Mustang GT, bone stock. Both are five
speed manuals. Mustang had
300HP stock (factory crankpower spec). Taurus had roughly 254HP modified
calculation based on Dynoplot). I had decided to trim
my fleet a bit and list the SHO for sale, $3,000/OBO. After the testdrive
here, the buyer said "no negotiations necessary, I'll give you full asking

The SHO has since been decommissioned and engine bay returned to stock. The
engine has been turn the right way and transplanted to a new vehicle, look

Taurus SHO vs 2002 TL Type S Acura. SHO is bone stock with 155,000 miles
and the Acura has just a Cold Air intake.
Ford Taurus 3.0L 12v Timing Cover Coolant Leak Repair
This is my favorite gasket set to complete this job-
If the front cover is pitted here is a complete kit front cover included-
If the water pump is needed this is the one to get-
This is the serpentine belt tensioner tool I use Here-
This is the Engine Sealant I recommend-
In this video I show how to remove the front cover on the 3.0L 12v Vulcan
engine. Coolant leak from the main coolant ports is very common on these.
This can be a very costly repair, with this video I am sure anyone with any
mechanical experience can handle this job with ease.
Tighten bolts in the sequence shown.
Tighten numbers 1-7 to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Tighten numbers 8-12 to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
