Remove Rust from Metal and Panels the Easy Way: Video 2
"No abrasives required" Ready for panel and paint immediately!
Nothings more cost effective than being able to do your projects from your
own garage. You can even turn this into some extra cash flow, and to start
it won't even break your bank balance. Nothing is worse than completing
your project and finding six months later you have a blister in the painted
surface. With this method, "I know all the rust is gone"
Forgotten Volkswagen Single Cab
How does an old Volkswagen Single Cab get buried under 3 feet of dirt?
Took 45 years to bury it and almost 2 days to dig it out. Have a look.
Took the Syncro for a Sunday drive and spotted an old single cab in the
foothills outside Idaho Falls. This is nine hours worth of digging
condensed into a 15 minute video. It had been sitting in a wash since
1967. It was buried under two feet of dirt but it's extremely rust free
given the circumstances. The drop gates hadn't seen the light of day for
45 years. IF YOU HAVE A VOLKSWAGEN THAT NEEDS RESCUED OR KNOW OF ONE GIVE

Thanks for all the phone calls and emails about Forgotten VW's that we have
received. This video has helped rescue several abandoned and otherwise
forgotten VW's that may have been left for dead including a very cool 1960
VW Double Cab that we got out of Missouri that had been sitting since 1965.
We also recently returned from Mission Viejo California where we picked up
a 1961 SO-23 Westfalia. This bus had been sitting since 1980. We got a
tip on that bus after someone saw the Forgotten Single Cab video. Give us
a call today if you know of one. Thanks again. Skeeters (208)200-6053

65 Mustang Fastback Restoration Project
This is my 1965 Mustang
Fastback I rescued from a field rusting away. I finished it around July of
2008 in my back yard garage with no professional assistance at all. It took
me about 26 months to complete. It has a 302 Ford motor and an 5 Speed
manual transmission. I restored this car to the information on the original
data plate on the door that included the body color and interior. The
stripe is unique in that I added a darker red to the Poppy Red body color
to get a stripe that is a little darker but blends in with the factory
color. This car features four wheel disc brakes made from all Ford parts.
Using citric acid for rust removal
Citric acid can be bought from drugstore (they use it in jelly or such to
adjust acidity) but it is very expensive there. Therefore Finnish rodders
buy it from some agriculture-store. It is not expensive. Officially it is
used as pigs obstruent! I dipped those parts in citric acid for overnight,
next day brushed it with wirebrush and flushed it with water. Then again
back to citric acid over night and wirebrushed + flushed it next day.
Flushing is important, you'll want to get all acid away, otherwise steel
will turn to yellow.
You can't use this method on all parts because of hydrogen embrittlement.
So no pedals, frames, brake drums, engine blocks or such to citric acid!!!
And yeah, parts should be clean -I've cleaned 'em with fuel- because grease
will neutralize acid. Ratio was 3%
Parts must be dried soon as you get them flushed, I quess you guys know
