Gene Langan Volkswagen is proud to present this 1956 Karmann Ghia. Produced in March 1956, this red Karmann Ghia was purchased in a VW dealer in Germany and shipped to the US. This Karmann Ghia is in red with a black roof. In 1998, it was restored to its original color. The lower set of headlights and taillights give the Karmann Ghia a sleeker look.

1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Engine Start
First time starting up the 2333 cc engine (91x84mm) that I installed in my wife's freshly restored 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible. Yes, I know my coil is installed upside-down. The after-market wire harness was installed with too little slack to reach a downward-pointing coil. This is temporary.

I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1968 Karmann Ghia. It was fully restored in 2005, and it's till looking great today. It's powered by the flat four, backed by a four speed manual trans. The paint is slick, the interior looks like new, and it runs out great. This is on sharp Karmann Ghia. It is a heartbreaker of a car, a real dreamboat and possibly the most beautiful VW ever built. However the sporty coupe does have one small drawback. Its design is far racier than its driving performance.The first Ghias were fitted wtih 30 horsepower VW Beetle engines, while later models got 50 horsepower motors. Still, when the Karmann Ghia was introduced back in 1955 this was more than enough to keep vehicles like the Goggomobil and BMW Isetta in check. During it's close to 20 years in production, some 443,000 Ghias were sold. Today this classic car has nothing left to prove. We take a relaxing drive in this stylish milestone of automotive history.
1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia STK # 1027
Volkswagen made this sweet 1969 Karmann Ghia for fun road trips. The 1.6L flat 4 cylinder motor powering it was rebuilt back to stock specs 17,000 miles ago. Less than 500 miles ago the 4 speed manual transmission was rebuilt with new clutch and axles being put back in. Inside is a custom tan interior with a combination of leather and tweed making it gorgeous. The AM/FM/CD radio lets the tunes play while you cruise down the road.
