Police chase a hijacked big rig
This is a Fox News Live alert from April 28, 2009 3pm C.S.T.. A man has
hijacked a big rig and is being chased by police on I-75 in Spalding
County, Georgia. The owner of the truck has managed to board the back of
the vehicle while communicating with police via cell phone. The police
can't use the pit technique since they would run the risk of injury or
death to the owner of the truck. Indeed a fairly tense situation. The
officer at the end of the video was shot during this incident. **story

Smokin' Gun Diesel Drag Race Truck, huge burnout! June 2009 Calgary
Huge burnout and a pretty decent 1/4 mile pass for a full size former
highway transport truck.
Smokin' Gun is Twin turbo, Supercharged,
and InterCharged Detroit Diesel 8V92 1968 Kenworth drag truck. Just in case
that isn't enough power, there's also a 1200 hp shot of Nitrous Oxide to give it that extra kick. It makes
3100 hp to move 9500 lbs down the 1/4 mile in less than 12.5 seconds, and
through the traps at over 120 mph! This pass is a 12.91 103.35 MPH pass at
Race City... not bad!

Car Stolen In Front Of Cops
Some moron steals a crap car right in front of a small army of cops.
"You're doing it wrong!"
The suspect tried to sell a stolen car, and then the potential buyer
figures it's stolen, and tells the suspect he needs money to buy the car,
and to follow him to the ATM. The buyer calls the police and heads toward
the police station. Then the Suspect figures out its a trap and runs when
he sees the cops.
UPDATE: Contrary to what people assume (without any research at all) the
man who is stealing the car in this video does not get away, and he's
facing several charges involved with the theft in Gilbert Arizona.

Best Car Chase EVER
From the comedy 'Short Time' with Dabney Coleman, Matt Frewer and Teri
Garr. Overall, considering all factors, I find this the best car chase
scene ever filmed.
NOTE: Coleman's car here is NOT a Diplomat. The grille in this red car says
Plymouth. As the chase was filmed in Canada where the Plymouth Gran Fury
was sold as the 'Caravelle' from 1978-1982, and as the 'Caravelle Salon'
from 1983-89, it might be a Caravelle. But the fender emblems were removed,
so we can't say for certain that it isn't a US-market Gran Fury.

Out on the road with Britain's commercial vehicle crime fighters
Two years ago, Scene Scania carried its first report on the Central
Motorway Police Group (CMPG) and its pioneering work of using trucks to
catch law breakers. The logic was simple: Officers knew full well that some
truck drivers flout the law -- other drivers regularly told them so -- but
they were unable to do anything about it. From the officers' viewpoint, low
down in a car, they just couldn't see what was going on inside of trucks. A
higher vantage point was clearly needed...
