Josh Dillon's turbo big block Maverick
making a pass at Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip in Ringgold, Georgia. Car has
a 460ci big block Ford with stock crank, H beam rods, forged pistons, stock
head castings and valve size, blow through carb, Borg Warner S475 turbo. This pass is on 18 pounds on 93 octane pump
gas with a safe tune. Track conditions were poor as you can tell by the
squirrelly ride. I think this pass was a 7.0X at around 100 miles per hour.
Other details about the car: C6 transmission, Dacco torque converter (way
too loose), 3.00 gear, stock 8 inch rear end, stock axles, mini spool,
26x8.5-15 tires, original leaf springs, stock shocks, slapper bars.

degree per psi Boost leaving at 2700

inch all stock rearend freshend up c6 transmission with all stock hard
parts 2500 stall converter ,stock block, crank, heads, valves 74 model 460
,torker 2 intake , the carb shop blow thru 900cfm jetted 75/90 , cummins
dodge Intercooler, s475 borg
warner turbo 75mm 1.1 a/r , .503 lift
276/286 duratioin adavertized, probe forged pistons, scat h beam rods , arp
head bolts, arp main studs, all stock suspension down to the factory shocks
all done on 92 octane fuel
1973 Ford Maverick Grabber Grn OT032412
The Grabber was a special version of the Maverick that Ford offered from
the 1970 through the 1975 model year. I'm guessing at the year of this
Maverick. I haven't seen any illustrations with the exact hood
configuration that this one has, nor the rear spoiler. It's very unique
with those stutter stripes...and bold color.

First test run with the turbocharger
installed. It's a Garrett turbocharger
off a 7.3 PowerStroke Ford Van.
Engine is a bone stock '96 EFI 460 Big Block.
turbocharger is remote mounted just
under the stacks. 3" Exhaust engine
back to the turbo, 3" "up pipe" from the
turbo into the stacks. 2" pipe to supply
Boost to the front mount Intercooler, from which it goes into 3"
for the MAF.
Stainless steel oil lines to and from the turbo. Oil return is done by a 12v gear pump, and
is pumped right into the passenger side side valve cover. Oil is supplied
by port on filter housing.
Stock EFI system was converted to MAF and sequential injection with a '95
F-150 California 5.0 V8 computer. It will be tuned with a moates
quarterhorse. 36 lb/hr injectors were installed as well.
Power is being sent through a stock E4OD automatic with a TransGo
