2014 Audi RS5 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 507 Coupe! - Head 2 Head Ep. 51
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman sets out to discover which
German hot-rod-personal-luxury-coupe is the best you can get. The 507 Coupe
is the last iteration of the W204 C63. With the exception of the very
limited-run Black Series, it's the best C63 that AMG has ever done. Under
its hood sits a hand-built, 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V-8 good for 507
more do you want? Perhaps something more high-tech, and that's where the
Audi RS5 comes in. The sexy coupe from Quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm features
a 4.2-liter V-8 that spits out 450 hp. That¹s less power than the 507
Coupe makes, true, but the Audi also features AWD, a dual-clutch
transmission, bigger wheels and tires, plus a trick torque-vectoring rear
differential. Which one is quicker? Which one is more fun to drive? Which

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 29, 2010) -- For the fifth consecutive time,
Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima combined experience, skill and Falken Tires to
claim overall victory in the 88th running of the Pikes Peak International
Although he did not set a new Pikes Peak record, one day before his 60th
birthday, Tajima continues to hold the current overall record for reaching
the peak, beating hill climb veterans Paul Dallenbach and Rhys Millen in
the Unlimited Class. He drove his new 910-hp Monster Sport Suzuki SX4 Hill
Climb Special on Falken WildPeak A/T tires, the powerful new line of
all-terrain, all-season tires Falken launched this past April.
Following Exhaustive tests in a
Japanese wind tunnel facility, Monster's 2010 Pikes Peak race car underwent
extensive aerodynamic changes to better adapt to the modified road surface
on the race to the clouds, which assumed a smoother tarmac and less gravel
than last year. Thinning air ascending the mountain robs most motors of
their power by 30 or more percent, but the increase in horsepower over last year's
race car helped push the driver forward.

Peak race course as he was testing his Peugeot 208 race car at one of the
practice days at this year's big race to the sky.

Pikes Peak Super-Turbo Semi Freightliner Race Truck Explained
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) A few days ago we posted a short video of the
Banks Super-turbo Semi Freightliner Race
truck as it raced up the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill climb. In the
wet, the 2800 hp and 5000 lb-ft of torque Freightliner Race Truck barely
clung to the road as the rear wheels tried to tear up the mountain and
trucks tires. A few days before the race we caught up with Gale Banks, who
explained the thinking and engineering behind installing a turbo, a Supercharger, Intercoolers, and even methanol
