Triumph 1050 Speed Triple crash August 2011My bike crash!!!
Riding a friends Triumph 1050 Speed Triple up a mountain pass road. Ten
minutes later I'm avoiding gravel on a tight bend leaving me no option than
to crash into an oncoming car head on. Everyone was ok in the car and were
more worried about my health. I was not traveling fast thankfully.
My leathers and body armor has saved my life and my loving family and
friends have saved my soul, thank you!
I will be back on the road and back to motorcycling that's for sure but
I've learnt a lesson and it will make me more the wiser when I'm back on
the open road.

Street Triple crashes in a tight corner
2008 Triumph Street Triple lowsides in a tight corner on Panoramic Highway.
Skip to 2:15 for the crash, slow motion replays, and video of the damage.
The Exhaust sound in the video is from
the camera bike, not me. The bike and the tires were not at their traction
limit. The road had to have been the major factor. I have leaned quite
farther on this bike before. I was completely unhurt - not a scratch, no
bruises, nothing was even sore. Wear your gear on rides like this.
Looking at the slow motion video, you can see my handlebars turn (front
tire loses traction) at the same time as the rear tire loses it. I did not
touch the brakes at all.
The damage to the bike:
Bent handlebar at the clamp (fixed by loosening the bolts and
Scratched clutch lever and bar end (non-issue really)
Lost the turn signal switch
Scratched mirror (it rotated on its mount, so it didn't break off,
Bad scratch on the engine case
Shifter bent 90 degrees
Rear plastic cracked
The tank was untouched. I rode the bike home. The only thing I'm replacing
is the shifter.
As for my gear: tiny scratch on the jacket, boots and pants only scratched
on the plastic sliders, and one glove was scratched on the carbon fiber
knuckle. The helmet did not impact.
My gopro was on the bike following me, so I don't have on-board footage.
This was my first crash after 2 years of riding.
Ducati 1199s Panigale & CBR600RR Lowside On The Snake | Johnny5sWorld
On a cold Sunday there were 4 lowsides that I knew of, this is the video
for two. Sorry for the shaky footage (more details below)
CBR600RR - Q2 Tires, track bodywork ziptied together. Rider was on cold
tires moments before lowside. Pressures were also too high for the weather.
No injury to rider, just cosmetic damage to the bike.
Ducati Panigale - 1199s was a rental from racyrentals.com, rider was from
out of town and only had two days on the bike. bike was damaged heavily
from frame, forks, wheels & bodywork. Rider only had minor bruises and road
rash to right forearm. Bike carried full coverage from rental so a $2500.00
vehicle waiver will be charged for the damage.

2012 Triumph Street Triple R 675 VS. Suzuki Hayabusa - Drag Race
First run at the drags on Wednesday night, up against a Hayabusa! Hardly
fair! Haven't been to the drags in years and haven't ever given the Striple
a good wring-out so it was awesome fun. $50 to get in and race though so
might not be something I do every week.

Triumph Street Triple Servicing - Fatal Motorbike Crashes - A Sweet Corner
Bit of a mixed bag this one. Picked up the bike from the dealer today after
the 1000km service. Bike feels great, loving riding. Where I live is having
a shocking run of fatal motorbike crashes, I touch on this a little in the
vid. Also, I take a sweet sweet off-ramp that brings back some fond
There's something in this for everyone!
Ride safe everyone. Ride within the limits of your skill set. Ride within
the limits of your bike. Ride within the limits of the conditions at the
time. Too much carnage.
Triumph Motorcycle Crash
I was getting into the Olympic spirit by doing some Triumph
Not sure what happened here, cold tyres and the leaves/small amount of
water I rode through?
In either case, I'm fine (I'm sure some people won't be happy about
Right hand fairing scratched up
R & G crash bung screwed up
Clipped a chunk out of RH mirror
Back brake lever bent out
Remus Exhaust scratched up bad.
On the brightside I was planning on selling my bike (even though it is
about 6 months old) for a 1200 GS adventure for my round the world trip.
But if I can't even turn out of a car park how am I going to ride across
thanks to those who ran to help me, that old woman with the shopping was
kind of just hanging out though...
