2012 RAM 1500 (HEMI) K&N Air Intake, Before and After Sound
I installed a K&N 77-1561KP 77 Series Polished High Flow Performance Air

The rest of my RAM is factory.
While the altered sound while standing is not much different besides the
"breathing" sound, the sound changed a lot while driving and especially
It almost was too much for my taste. The good thing though, it's only loud
when you allow it to be. Step off the pedal or accelerate more relaxed and
you won't hear much of a difference. And that's fortunate if you don't want
to be "that guy" in your neighborhood. Nobody likes that guy.
Cold Air Intake - Explained
How cold air intakes work. How do cold air intakes increase horsepower? What is the
relationship between air temperature and horsepower? This video
explains the theory behind cold air intakes.
Note: This video assumes pressure remains constant for all situations, and
that air density is strictly dependent on air temperature. This video also
assumes air is dry, containing 79% nitrogen and 21% oxygen.

But until then I plan on new cams and maybe some other small things. If the
engine blows I plan on dropping in an old school crate hemi, super charged
