2002 4.2 GMC ENVOY ENGINE NOISE HELP! UNSOLVED
My 2002 4.2 GMC envoy is making a weird engine noise, ive replaced the lash adjusters which did not solve the problem, also checked the water pump and belt accessory. The noise does not sound like a rod. The check engine light hasn't been cleared yet, that was because i changed the hydraulic camshaft actuator solenoid. any help

I searched online to see just how rare it was and found that there were approximately 25,000 of them made. That may sound like a lot to some, but in the scope of things, it's not! This was a one owner local trade in that is in PERFECT condition. One tiny rock chip on the front end that has been touched up. Tires are at 80% all around. Brakes are tight, alignment is perfect, tires are balanced , AC blows cold and the heat comes out hot! Every option works as it should. bought the truck for 600 its a 1950 4-71 detroit in had been sitting since 81 chaged the oil and diesel and freeed up all the injectors and it still does this because the fuel rack is frozen
