The XJ Project - 5- Armor
Here's some of the stuff I've built to protect my Jeep out on the trail: Rock Rails - 2x3x1/4 steel rails that I welded up and mounted to protect the rocker panels. Transfercase Skidplate - The factory skid doesn't offer a lot of protection. I built a full pan that I can lift the entire Jeep off of. I made it to hang no lower the the transmission cross member. I also incorporated a mount for the traction bar. Front Bumper - I didn't like much on the market that was available at the time, so I built a bumper to mount my winch. I tried to balance keeping maximum clearance (approach angle) with keeping the winch mounted low to not restrict air flow through the radiator. Rear Bumper - Here I tried to keep the look of the stock bumper which doesn't look too bad, IMHO. This offers a substantial upgrade in protection and incorporates a receiver hitch. Hitches can never be too high when you're wheeling. Gas Tank Skidplate - 1/4" steel all the way around. Gas tank is much better protected than with the factory skidplate. Rear light boxes - Broke out a rear light while wheeling one day and decided to create a better solution. This incorporates individual LED lights which are recessed and protected better than stock. This way when I break a signal light, it's a $10 replacement instead of buying an entire new light. I adapted the wiring using soldered joints, liquid tape and heat shrink. This is not a place to skimp unless you relish tracking down endless electrical gremlins.

Removing Graying from Jeep Wrangler Fender Flares with a Heat Gun
Remove the gray color from your Jeep Wrangler the easy way. Be CAREFUL! I'm not going to be held responsible because you light your car on fire! This method only works if you keep moving. If you hit your paint directly it's probably going to blister. Use the low setting in warm weather. This method is cheaper if you already own a heat gun, and is maybe more environmentally friendly than using any a chemical solution. Is it the best way? Who knows. It's just the way that worked for me. The Jeep in the video is a 1997 Wrangler Sport 4.0.Unfortunately I only had it for about a year after this video was made, but it did not fade back at all during that time.

ZJ Coils and ACOS Coil Spacers - "Bleepin Zombies" Build by BleepinJeep
http://www.bleepinjeep.com/ - All the best Off-road videos of YouTube : Please hit us up on FB - http://www.facebook.com/BleepinJeep Ok, here it is. The front 3.5" lift to match the rear bastard pack. I chose to use V8 ZJ coil springs paired with ACOS coil spacers made by JKS. The V8 ZJ coils are suppose to give between 1-2" of lift but it turned out to be only about a 3/4" for me. But that was OK because the ACOS coil spacers are adjustable rom 1-1/2" to 3-1/2". I'd rather not run the ACOS spacers at the maximum so the combination worked out great. Just keep in mind that there are other things that need to be done before the lift is finished. So stay tuned for that in future videos! *Disclaimer - This product is meant for entertainment purposes only. Your mileage may vary. Do not try this at home. Void where prohibited. Spectacular American Fork Canyon, Utah, Mineral Basin 4x4 trail, Jeep XJ, Jeep JK
This canyon is a 10 minute drive from my home. I tagged along with a group of Jeep XJs July 2011 going up American Fork canyon. The snowpack is still visible and it was fun driving through the runoff. This trail was blocked by a 6 foot deep snowbank that for us could not be overcome.
