If you're searching for some old school Chevrolet muscle that wraps killer
performance in outstanding good looks, your Chevelle has arrived!
One can't help but smile when they look at a Chevelle this cool. Assembled
in Kansas City, Missouri and delivered to Montgomery Motors in Dothan,
Alabama, it's everything car guys dream of from the first time they say
"muscle car" to the day they trade their high octane V8 for an electric
rascal motor. Decked in a smooth Champagne basecoat and displaying a
traditional array of Yenko Super Car stripes, the car is the product of a
complete nut and bolt restoration that probably took years to complete. And
presently, its appearance is much, much better than any mass produced
original from the 60s, carrying a super clean shine on top of an
impressive, high quality restoration!
Lift this Chevy's double-domed hood and you'll find a 1969 model 427 big
block that wears a correct 3935439 casting number and creates roughly 450
horsepower. As it
sits, this Chevelle is a classic answer to the question of what to do when
your car's original engine experiences failure: install a bigger one, of
course! And judging by this mill's awesome looks and great performance, it
certainly feels like a natural fit. Air and fuel enter the combustion
chambers through a correctly decaled air cleaner, fresh stainless fluid
lines and a reliable Holley carburetor. Below that carburetor, a sea of
brilliant Chevy Orange paint covers the block from the base of its Winter
aluminum intake all the way to the bottom of its stamped steel oil pan. At
the back of that intake, a reliable HEI distributor shoots spark through
eight MSD Super Conductor cables. Below those cables, bright chrome valve
covers perfectly contrast clean aluminum heads and black, long-tube
headers. And in front of those valve covers, a tagged Delco Energizer
battery rides next to a heavy duty radiator that's equipped with a correct
fan shroud and familiar tower clamps.
Behind that big engine, a rugged Muncie M22 Rock Crusher sends power to a
rebuilt GM 12 bolt rear end that spins correct 3.73 gears. Holding that
stellar drivetrain in place is a beefy F41 sports suspension that was fully
tagged during the restoration and presently features factory power steering
and correct power front disc and rear drum brakes. And power flows to the
pavement through slick 15 inch American Racing Torq Thrust Ds which spin
sticky 235/70 front and 245/60 rear BF Goodrich Radial T/As.
Open this second generation Chevelle's solid doors and you'll find an
attractive black interior which appears to have been completely replaced
during the car's extensive restoration. Centered in those new components is
a trio of fresh bench and bucket seats that have been fitted with familiar
"sYc" branded headrests. Below those seats, like-new carpet props a
traditional Hurst shifter between thick, rubber floor mats. And in front of
the driver, a reproduction Chevrolet Rally wheel spins around a correct
tilt column that's fitted with a large Stewart Warner tachometer, and an
excellent looking dash which features a warp-free pad, Summit accessory
gauges and a correct AM/FM radio.
If you're in the market for a unique muscle car with an unbeatable
combination of style and performance, this Chevy is your next classic!
