Turbo 5.3 LSX Fairmont, Greg's First Ride in the Ultimate Sleeper
This is Greg, my 15 year old son's, first ride in the Fairmont. He is the one that found the car on YouTube and told me about it and that Matt (Denmah) wanted to sell it. Too bad it was dark, because you can't see his face. We will make another video this weekend in the light. Anyway, enjoy...there are several hard pulls here with absolutely no traction...and me cackling like an idiot. I love this car!!!
5.3 LSX Turbo Fairmont Quick Burnout
Put M/T drag radials on the Fairmont today. They hook like bastards...they
hook so hard I can barely get the car to spin! I was hoping to have a nice
smokey burnout for you, but I have this lameness instead, LOL. Sounds good

1993 S-10 with 5.3L 4L65e Sleeper
1993 Chevrolet S-10 with 5.3L engine and 4L65e transmission. Using a plug
and play Current Performance engine wiring harness to mate the S10 wiring
with the V8 wiring. Corvette radiator with dual electric puller fan. Engine
has a LS1 camshaft and intake that is accompanied by a Nelson Performance
computer tune. Using the Corvette serpentine front accessories in order to
get the stock hood clearance.
6-23-12 fairmont update... the 5.3 is ready
today me and corey did the valvesprings, and zr1 cam, swapped my oil pan,
and anything else i am forgetting, also reinstalled the motor, turbo kit, and threw on the corvette alternator
bracket and spaced it out and sized a belt. sorry for the noise at some
points there was a big fan in the garage making the wind noise, i was

first pass, well first 200 ft i hit Boost cut at 22lbs, so i quickly jumped out,
took the line off the top of the gate and ran 14lbs off the bottom only,
next time i lined up i let her go easy 2.0 60ft. and short shifted and it
went strait as an arrow down the track, ill have the video up soon but they
stopped me at the doghouse and told me to go strait to tech inspection lol
(meaning i was done for the day)
5.3 Turbo LSx Fairmont Second Pass Exterior View....
This was the second pass. I turned up the Boost to 17 and lagged it harder. What I
failed to see was that I pushed through and triggered the beams and sat
there. Well, that would explain why I went 10.55. Did turn 136. 60 foot was
a dismal (duh) 2.0 on this pass.
5.3 LSX Turbo Fairmont Helmet Cam Ride Along
Wanted to test out something so I took the car for a short hop. With the
M/Ts it dead hooks....which means that the speed piles up at an alarming
rate. You really have to lift after a couple of seconds on the street. LOL.

Chuck's Garage is back with part 2 of our LS Engine Swap. Last time Chuck
showed us his $100 69 Chevelle chassis he picked up on Craig's List. He
also swaped out his Big Block 454 for a 5.3L LS Engine.Today Chuck takes
the old factory intake off the LS engine and replaces it with a high
performance intake and throttle body.
