The Nissan Titan introduced in 2004, is a full-size pickup truck produced for the North American market by Nissan. The truck shares the stretched Nissan F-Alpha platform with the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs, and is manufactured in Canton, Mississippi, United States. All Titans come standard with a 32 Valve 5.6L engine, VK56DE, which generates 317 hp (305 hp on 2004-2006 models) and 385 ft lb.ft of torque. The Titan has a fully boxed ladder frame and is available in either rear wheel drive or a shift on the fly four wheel drive system coupled with a 5-speed RE505A automatic transmission. An automatic brake limited slip (ABLS) is available on all Titans. The Titan is available as a King Cab or a Crew Cab with a full size back seat; no regular cab is available. The King Cab features a 6'7" bed, while the Crew Cab features a 5'7" or 8'bed. There are four models available: the S, SV, Pro-4x, and SL. The S is a base model, the SV is a mid-level model with many features, the PRO-4X is an off-road-oriented version, and the top level SL is filled with high end luxurious features. 2006 Nissan titan drag racing at QUALCOMM stadium 1/8 mile drag strip. RaceLegal, the safer and sanctioned track alternative to illegal street racing, was developed with one goal in mind. Saving the needless loss of young lives to an illegal street race gone bad is RaceLegal's mantra. To that end we have been remarkably effective. The concept was one of providing a youth oriented environment in a neutral and centrally located location where we could replicate a street environment, but with safer and sanctioned conditions that insured the safety of our racers and their fans. The under pinning is one of skillfully redirecting illegal street racing behavior to the safer and sanctioned sport of drag racing in a youth oriented setting. As sated above, the results are impressive.
