133033 / 1966 Ford Mustang
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/6n86pm4
Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing! On the outside, this amazing 1966 Mustang convertible looks like
a clean, black ragtop with a high-quality restoration, but when you start
to look a little closer you notice things like the 4-wheel disc brakes, the
17-inch Torque Thrusts, and the slightly raked ride height. Under the skin,
it's a take-no-prisoners hammer designed to pound anything with less than
into dust, thanks to a 600 horsepower aluminum stroker
motor, a Richmond 5-speed, and a heavily fortified suspension. Best of all,
it isn't some Shelby clone with oversized fender flares that will attract
all kinds of unwanted attention. No, like all the best sleepers, this one
keeps a low profile until it's time to crack the throttle. By then, you'd
better be holding on tight, because all hell's gonna break loose.
The bodywork is a tribute to this car's overall workmanship, and once you
see how good the finish work is, you'll have no doubts about the quality of
the vehicle itself. No Mustang ever came out of the factory
this straight, and thanks to that deep, rich paint it has movie star looks
that work well with the 100% factory original sheetmetal. At first glance,
you might even mistake this for a stock ragtop with an over-the-top paint
job, and that just how we like it with these killer resto-mods. The doors
fit beautifully, the hood and trunk offer excellent gaps, and the paint has
been wet sanded and buffed to a brilliant shine. They say that nothing
looks better than black when it's done right, and this car certainly
qualifies. Your knees will get weak when you see this one out in the
The engine is an all-aluminum 363 cubic inch stroker motor that cranks out
in excess of 600 horsepower. With a single
Holley 4-barrel and tons of raw aluminum under the hood, it looks like a
full race piece that belongs in a Trans-Am vintage racer, not a street car.
Stepped long-tube headers dump into a custom 3-inch Exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers and give
it a voice that's ready for the paddock, not the local cruise-in.
With that lightweight aluminum flywheel inside a Quicktime scattershield,
this one loves to rev, with quick, barking snarls every time you goose the
throttle. A heavy-duty hydraulic clutch connects the engine to the Richmond
5-speed, and requires a good shove on the clutch pedal to harness all that
back, there's a Currie Ford 9-inch full of 4.10 gears on a limited slip,
and it's connected by a custom made aluminum driveshaft. The suspension
offers a Chassis Works coil over setup in front, QA1 shocks all around, a
Total Control power rack-and-pinion system, subframe connectors, and a set
of Competition Engineering Slide-A-Link traction bars mounted on the
heavy-duty rear leaf springs. You'll also be pleasantly surprised to note
that the red oxide primer you see on the floors is ORIGINAL, not resprayed,
which gives you an idea of how clean this car truly is. Cross-drilled and
vented Baer disc brakes live at all four corners, with 13-inch rotors and
two-piston calipers up front for steady performance under all conditions.
And nothing looks better on a vintage pony than a set of charcoal Torque
Thrust wheels wearing staggered BFGoodrich G-Force Sport tires.
The beautifully finished interior may actually be the least radical part of
the car. Using original materials and patterns throughout, the seats,
carpets, and door panels are restoration pieces that would be at home at
the MCA nationalsThe original dashboard has been upgraded with a custom
piece full of Auto Meter Phantom gauges which, along with an MP3 compatible
sound system, serve as the interior's most noticeable modifications. A new
LaCarrera wood-rimmed steering wheel does a great impersonation of the
impossible-to-find Shelby piece. And overhead there's a brand new tan
canvas convertible top installed by the experts at RK Motors Charlotte's
in-house upholstery shop.
This is another one of those cars that were a labor of love, not a
calculated investment. While it's beautiful to look at, this is not a car
for the guy who just wants a pleasant little Mustang to tool around in. But if
you're prepared for the power and like the way it looks, I guarantee you'll
love the way it drives. An amazing piece for a surprisingly reasonable
price. Call today!
1969 Chevy Chevelle Big Block 4 Speed Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales

on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"!
What happens when you take a strong running 396, pair it with a 4-Speed
transmission, and top it with a stunning orange paint job? You get this
striking 1969 Chevelle! With a fresh restoration it's ready to tear up the
roads soon as you turn the key.
This car spent the majority of its life in North Carolina until it was
purchased by a Michigan man in 2003, and moved north. When he got the car
home, he started to restore it. Once he had the car stripped down, he found
that it still had the original quarters and floors, and was rust free.
Since the car already had a great base, he had it professionally repainted
to its current orange color.
Today, you will find this car to be as straight and solid as the day it
rolled off the assembly line. This Chevelle has a stunning fit, the lips
and seals are clean and the doors open and close with a strong solid feel.
The chrome bumpers and stainless trim are pristine. I love the SS badging,
it's the little details that make a car like this stand out. Sitting at all
four corners are SS Rallye wheels with BF Goodrich tires (2/45/0/14 rear
and 2/25/60/14 front).
The previous owner told us that he dropped in a 396 ci motor (casting
number is 3955272) and a M21 transmission out of a 1969 Chevelle SS. We
can't prove if this is true or not, but this Chevelle has a TON of power.
The motor compartment in this beast has a ton of upgrades, including: an
Edelbrock carb, chrome valve covers, rebuilt wiper motor, rebuilt
alternator with a sweet coat of bare metal paint, a new battery, Stocker
distributor, and more. The Exhaust
manifolds are in great shape! The power brake system has a ton of new
components as well, the power Booster, master cylinder, lines and
proportioning valve are all new. There are new pressure lines on the power
steering and the pump is in great shape. The radiator is in awesome shape,
and there is a new washer jug too! The underside of the hood has a
stunningly smooth coat of black paint and new insulation. They didn't miss
a singe detail under the hood!
Underneath the car, you'll find a fresh chassis and floorpans that, like
the cars exterior panels and engine, have been restored to the absolute
highest standards. The Muncie M21 4-speed transmission is mated to a 12
bolt rear end. Out back you will find a new gas tank with a fresh coat of
paint, new shocks, new springs and a rear sway bar. There are new fuel
lines, new brake lines, nice bushings and new bolts. The lower control arms
are reinforced, there are new wheel cylinders and the drive shaft has a
fresh coat of paint. The floorboards and frame are painted with a beautiful
coat of chassis black, there is no pitting, no holes, no patches and no
rust. This is one super solid, super clean undercarriage. The 2.5" aluminum
Exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers and
sounds awesome. Up front, the lower control arms have new bushings and ball
joints, there are new sway bar links, and new steering gear. The front disc
brakes have new components and perform perfectly. You will thoroughly enjoy
the performance, drivability and handling of this Chevelle.
Check out the interior! The black bench seats are in "like-new" condition
and have seatbelts for all. In front of the driver is the Hurst shifter.
The dash is in excellent condition and houses a set of aftermarket gauges
mounted in the center, above the radio. Open up the glove box to find an
aftermarket JVC AM/FM/CD stereo. The headliner, door panels and carpet are
all clean and in excellent condition. A fully restored trunk features
spatter paint, a new mat and a jack and spare Polyglass tire combination.
A 1969 Chevelle is an excellent collector car. Why pay upwards of $125K for
'man cave' decoration when you can own the road in this fire-breathing '69
for half the price? It looks just as good. When we say run, don't walk to
pick up the phone on this one, we say it with good authority. If you're in
the market for a spectacular Chevelle to throw your weight around with on
the street and at the shows, this is your car! Call today! 7 Days a week
