2012 Honda Odyssey Test Drive & Minivan Review

http://www.autobytel.com/honda/odyssey/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Honda Odyssey may be the best minivan you can buy. It is comfortable, it performs well, and it is very practical. The base model Odyssey Minivan retails for $28,225. The top of the line Odyssey Touring Elite model is $43,675 but comes packed with tons of equipment and technology. There is enough seating for 8 passengers which makes the Odyssey a great bargain for those who need to carry a lot of people. The 2012 Honda Odyssey minivan is powered by a 3.5 liter V-6 engine that produces 248 horsepower and 250 lb-ft. of torque. There is some really cool Honda technology called VCM (variable cylinder management) which can cut the usage from 6 cylinders to 3 or 4 cylinders which aids in fuel economy. The Odyssey gets 19 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. The 2012 Honda Odyssey is a wonderful total package if you are in the minivan market. The Odyssey has a good warranty and the resale value for this van is very high meaning it will hold its value well. 2013 Chrysler Town & Country Test Drive and Minivan Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/chrysler/town-and-country/2013/?id=32972 The minivan has been a staple in the automotive landscape since the 1980's. These vehicles fulfill a need and even if they are not the prettiest thing to look at, they do meet the needs of millions of families. Over the past few years though, there has been a resurgence in the minivan category and the new vehicles hitting the road are packed with as much convenience and technology as many luxury cars. The Chrysler Town & Country is one such automobile. The base price on a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country is just over $30k, but you can easily spec one out to $45k by adding all the bells and whistles. Still, these represent a great value and meet the needs of those who have to transport a family. Owning a minivan (especially for a younger person) used to be a scary thought. Now though, times have changed. The 2013 Chrysler Town & Country is about more than hauling family around. The minivan has become today's modern utility vehicles. On the outside, Chrysler recognizable design features like the front grill are evident. Along the side there are various chrome elements. Though there is not a lot of form there is a ton of function. Just using the key fob you can open and close the 2 sliding doors and the rear hatch. Under the hood of the 2013 Chrysler Town & Country is a 3.6 liter V-6 engine that is capable of making 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic. Fuel economy is 17 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. On the inside of the Town & Country there is a whole lot going on just as you would expect. There is rear seat entertainment with flip down video screens, climate control, and comfortable captain's chairs in the second row. The 3rd row of seats can be stowed flat with the touch of a button which gives you tons of cargo space. The driver also enjoys a ton of features including comfortable seats, navigation screen, blind sport monitoring, and more. The 2013 Chrysler Town & Country is an adequate minivan for the segment. But at the $43k as test price this automobile should be a bit more refined. There are some great features, but there are other auto manufacturers looking to get a piece of the pie. That said, the Town & Country is still one of the best vehicles on the planet to transport people. 2012 Toyota Sienna Test Drive & Van Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/sienna/2012/?id=32972 Trucks are good at hauling stuff, sports cars are good at hauling buns, and minivans are good at hauling people. The 2012 Toyota Sienna is one of the most popular minivans on the market today. Minivans are definitely not known for their good looks but Toyota managed to inject a bit of sportiness into the design of the Sienna. Up front the Sienna gets the updated signature grill and fog lights that can be found on other popular Toyota vehicles like the Camry. The 18-inch alloy wheels are also a nice touch. Base price for the 2012 Toyota Sienna is $25,060 and the highest trim level packed with all the features and options you can image costs $40,570. But there are a total of 12 different trims that will meet the needs of most. The 2012 Toyota Sienna comes with a choice of two engine sizes. The first is a 2.7 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for this engine is 19 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. There is a second larger engine offered. This 3.5 liter V-6 engine makes 266 horsepower and 245 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is actually better than the 4-cylinder at 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. This begs the question of why even bother buying the 4-cylinder? Unlike SUVs that try to cram a third row in; minivans are designed from the start with passenger comfort in mind. The 2012 Toyota Sienna has plenty of room for passengers both in the second and third rows. Out back the recessed cargo area adds a lot of room and with the seats folded flat and stowed there is a ton more available cargo volume. A great feature on the Toyota Sienna minivan is the large TV screen with wireless headphones. Toyota has managed to build an impressive minivan. The Sienna rides like a dream and handles bumps with ease. On the inside the passengers are comfortable and the many different seating configurations really add utility to the vehicle. On the outside; Toyota added a bit of aggressiveness which makes the Sienna stand out from the rest of the pack. You are not going to go wrong by picking the 2012 Toyota Sienna as your minivan. 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite Review - The Odyssey reigns supreme
Driving a vehicle around at a press introduction is one thing, but actually living with it is something else. That statement might not be more true than when reviewing a minivan. Sure PR reps can tell you about a car's features, but in a vehicle like the all-new 2011 Honda Odyssey, where most of the gadgets are designed to be used by kids or at least with kids, actually experiencing what is available is nearly impossible without a full-on family test. http://www.autoguide.com/manufacturer/honda/2011-honda-odyssey-touring-elit e-review-1511.html Subscribe! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=AutoGuideVideo http://www.youtube.com/Autoguide Twitter http://twitter.com/AutoGuide http://twitter.com/ColumWood Facebook - http://facebook.com/AutoGuide Google+ - http://goo.gl/LBxsP Web - http://www.AutoGuide.com AutoGuide reviews the latest new cars with test drives, car comparisons and shootouts plus coverage of breaking auto industry news, auto shows, rumors and spy photos.
