Me and my mate Paul just messing around with a vid camera. Paul has the ARIEL ATOM SUPERCHARGED and mines the MITSUBISHI EVO IX FQ 360.Almost £80,000 pounds worth of kit that we didnt want to risk writing off so not racing each other,just having a blast on a sunny Saturday afternoon in June 2010. Paul couldnt believe how fast the Evo was & couldnt keep up with me on the bends on the way to where we filmed.The Atom is fast but you've got to be a VERY-VERY GOOD driver to get the best out of it otherwise you'll keep wheel spinning & burning the clutch (see the blue smoke!). And you do NOT want to take the Atom out in the wet! The Evo is an awesome car,the grip & handaling is superb.I Had two new Subarus before the Evo,a 53reg STI PPP and a 55reg STI PPP with active diff.The 55reg was awesome,i didnt think any car under £70,000 could combine the speed,looks and handaling.But honestly the Evo blows it away.The Atom is a great 'toy' if you've got the cash & want to drive it on hot days in the summer for a pose & the garage it for 10 months.The Subarus are brilliant i'd recomend one but if you can afford an Evo IX then go for one of those as they are much better.
