A truly 'bizarre' Drag Racing Accident
Jacque Bidard, an experienced drag racer, knocks himself 'out-cold' during a ferocious start line launch and, whilst still unconscious, he unfortunately keeps his foot firmly planted on the throttle pedal - with disastrous results!
Event: the 'Nitro-Olympics' - held over the 1/8th mile distance drag strip.
Circuit: The Hockenheim, German Grand Prix circuit.
Year: 1992
Mazda RX3 (Godfather) & Datsun 1200 drag race.
Mazda RX3 almost hits the wall. The RX3 is known as the Godfather, it runs a 20B rotary engine. The other car in the race is a Datsun 1200 ute from Jett Racing, fitted with a Mitsubishi 4G63. Action was captured at Jamboree 2011 @ WSID (Western Sydney International Dragway) Eastern Creek, N.S.W. Australia.

Unfall mit BMW - Bad day for bad boys
Vier junge Männer zwischen 18 und 20 Jahren liehen sich am Freitag, den 11.09.2009 bei Sixt einen BMW für eine Wochendspritztour. Die Fahrt endete in Unterhaching, nachdem der Fahrer bei regennasser Fahrbahn eine 90° Grad Kurve mit nicht angepasster Geschwindigkeit befuhr. Das Heck des BMW brach aus, der Wagen drehte sich und krachte mit der linken hinteren Seite in die Front eines entgegenkommenden Ford Fiesta. Anschliessend rutschte er rückwärts über die Strasse und blieb an einer Mauer stehen. An dem Ford entstand hoher Sachschaden (Achsbruch vorne links), ebenso am BMW. Die Insassen des BMW wurden leicht verletzt, die Fahrerin des Ford Fiesta wurde ambulant behandelt (HWS-Syndrom und Schock).

After 24 hours of observation the driver is released from the hospital and all seems "fine" physically. Miraculously the camera survived without a scratch. The car wasn't that lucky. Unfortunately the Altered Drag Racer is total loss, but the engine can hopefully be saved.
