I filmed this Ford Sierra RS Cosworth at the Modena racetrack, during an
exhibition of rally cars. Unfortunatly the weather was bad, so just few
cars arrived to the track. In the video you can see the details of the car,
then the start up of the engine and some laps on the track. The tarmac was
impraticable, so the Sierra goes sideways every corner, you can see
powerslide, small drifting and fly bys and acceleration on the straight.
Look closely and you will see also some flames from the Exhaust! On the track there is also a BMW M3
E36, that races with the Cosworth!
Ho filmato questa Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, chiamata anche pinnone,
all'Autodromo di Modena durante una giornata dedicata alle regine da rally
degli anni 70-80-90. Purtroppo il mal tempo non ha consentito a tutte le
auto di raggiungere la pista, quindi solo alcune hanno deciso comunque di
girare. Nel video potete vedere i dettagli dell'auto, l'accensione del
motore e alcuni giri in pista. L'asfalto era impraticabile, quindi potete
vedere come la Sierra derapa a ogni curva, potete vedere un po' di drift e
derapate di potenza, oltre che accelerazioni e passaggi sul rettilineo.
Guardate attentamente e vedrete anche alcune fiammate dagli scarichi! In
pista c'è anche una BMW M3 E36 che gareggia con la Cosworth!

The traditional Carpi drag race on the quarter mile (400 m) was held in
mid-October at the small city airport. Many cars at the event, divided into
categories ranging from small italians cars to American's muscles.
Spectacular and very funny races!
A metà di Ottobre si è svolta la tradizionale gara di accelerazione sul
1/4 di miglio (400 m) presso il piccolo aeroporto di Carpi (MO). Tantissime
le vetture presenti all'evento, divisi per categorie, belle piccole vetture
italiane eleborate alle impressionanti Muscle cars. Evento spettacolare e
divertentissimo, molto bello da vedere.

In this video you can see some modified Lancia Delta HF Integrale during
drag races. The most powerful is the yellow one: it produces more than 1000
hp and accelerates from standstill to 400 m in 9.210 seconds. It is
modified by Rama Racing, for drag race. It's the fastest Delta in the
world! The black one is the Delta by Risi Engineering. You can see the
start up of the Delta RR1, and launches during the race, some revs, pure
sound and burnout to warm up the tires.

miles from the renowned Bonkers RS Collection.
Bodyside mouldings with grey insert, polycarbonate bumpers, integral front
air dam, colour coded door mirrors, heated front windscreen, electrically
adjustable and heated door mirrors, tinted glass, homofocal headlights,
headlamp wash/wipe, rear window aerial, colour coded rear spoiler, extended
centre console, quartz digital clock, fascia light dimmer, leather gearknob
and three spoke sports steering wheel, graphic information module, map
reading lamps, tilt and slide sunroof, central locking, front and rear
electric windows, integral rear headrests. Dealer fitted accessories;
Autowatch 160RLi/T CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser, Ford original mud flaps.
This completely unrestored original example is nothing short of mind
blowing. The factory original Ford Radiant Red (code P9) paintwork is
simply spectacular with a deep uniform shine throughout, making polishing a
sheer joy! Two miniscule chips to the offside rear door barely detract
from an otherwise pristine finish. There is no rust or corrosion
whatsoever and all factory panels are straight and damage free. All
exterior trim, glass and lights remain in excellent order, as have the
manufacturer correct badges and decals and even the supplying Ford main
dealer rear window sticker. The clean engine bay is totally standard and
still has all the correct engine and chassis identification numbers
confirming this to be a true genuine RS Cosworth example. Breathtaking.
The factory fresh interior of this unrepeatable car is an instant throwback
to a 1989 Ford Main Dealer showroom! All the door shuts and hinges are
spotlessly clean and polished. Trimmed in special order original Raven
Black full leather (code 6R), the seats and matching door cards are nothing
short of impeccable with only tiny light creases to the leather on the
bolsters. The dashboard is completely free from any cracks and all
incorporated switches and functions are intact and operate as they should.
The three spoke leather trimmed sports steering wheel and gear knob are
perfect and still have the natural veins in the leather. The standard
electronic sound system (model 2006) with power amplifier remains fully
operational. The ultimate RS cockpit, wonderfully preserved.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the standard 1993cc Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC) engine with the
Garrett AiResearch T.03B turbocharger
and Intercooler, the racing
pedigree of this car is truly evident. Performance figures of 0-60mph in
6.1 seconds and a top speed of 150mph enable this car to firmly hold its
own among modern contenders. The standard Borg-Warner five speed manual
transmission delivers wonderfully light and crisp changes throughout the
range. A recent engine service ensures optimum performance standards,
exactly as Ford intended.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The factory fitted 15 X 7 RS Sierra Cosworth 'Lattice Style' alloy wheels
are unrestored and perfect. The stamped Ford badge and serial numbers on
each wheel are clearly defined having never been repainted. The wheels are
shod in brand new and now unobtainable and highly sought after Dunlop SP
Sport D40 tyres, as fitted when new. Diagonally split hydraulic, anti-lock
braking assistance installs infinite confidence.
Registered new on the 9th October1989 by Ford Main Dealer Hartwell Motors
of Banbury, the vehicle was purchased by the first owner Mr B Grantham. An
original sales invoice in the history file illustrates the purchase price
of £20,774.08 including the transfer of private plate SUE 593. A further
two keepers cherished this incredible example prior to being purchased by
the fanatical and widely respected Mark Bailey in January 2008 and forming
part of the world famous Bonkers RS Collection. After six years enjoying
pride of place in the Bonkers museum, KGF Classic Cars are privileged to
offer this unique and very special vehicle to the next discerning keeper.
A large history file further consists of all original handbooks, service
schedule, radio guides and other point of sale literature. Many main
dealer and specialist invoices as well as previous MOT certificates leave
in no doubt the incredibly low 29,469 miles covered, and help to document
the fastidious care this example has received.
