Brake Glow and Suspension Action
I decided to get creative with the GoPro at the MVP Track Time track day on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Road America. The camera is mounted to the custom splitter I designed just before the event. The video is rather long, but there are lots of great views that I decided to have in the video. It starts with the warm up lap and the first lap. Then goes to individual cornering and braking shots. Then finishes with a full lap. The whole thing accompanied by the sounds of the Jackson Racing Supercharger. The control arms are V8 Roadsters Tubular Control Arms. It is a Spec Miata Suspension Kit (Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs (700 lbs/in), Eibach sway bars). The brakes are WIlwood Dynalite forged calipers with DBA 11" discs in the front. Ferrari 599XX glowing brake disk + downshifts !!!
Follow me on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/alexsmolik In this video you will see a few Ferrari 599XX on the track, near La Source = you will see glowing brake disks!!!! Pretty INSANE!!! The cars are braking so hard their brake disks are VERY VERY HOT (so I don't say "over-heat" :P) to a point they GLOW!! Shot at Spa-Francorchamps. The Ferrari 599XX is a race car built by Ferrari for their clients, based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, but for the track! This monster can achieve 700 horse power at 9000 rpm... The sound of the car is simply incredible, but the best part has got to be the downshifts = you could hear them a few kilometers around, they echoed throughout the whole circuit! Although the sound isn't as good as in real life, I definitely hope you will enjoy it! But don't worry, I have more videos from the event coming ;) Filmed with a Sony HDR CX700 Enjoy! *************************************************************************** ************** [●] Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/alexsmolik.supercars [●] Visit my website: http://alexsmolik.com/ [●] FlickR: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexsmolik [●] Twitter: http://twitter.com/alexsmolik *************************************************************************** ************** Hope you enjoy! - ALEX

How To Rebuild a Front Brake Caliper -EricTheCarGuy
In the past few videos I've been getting my Fairmont ready to take to the drag strip. Since I discovered some brake issues I thought it best to address those. In this video I rebuild the right front caliper. Turns out after I replaced the brake hoses that it was sticking and not releasing. Not wanting to spend the money on a new caliper, I decided to go for a rebuild. Now may of you may question the logic of doing this, especially when you see the caliper piston, but keep in mind my intention is to replace the entire brake system when I upgrade the engine and suspension on this car so it doesn't make sense to make a huge investment in this car as it is now. So for the naysayers, it's temporary, chill out. Either way I hope you enjoy this video and that it helps you if you find yourself needing to rebuild a front brake caliper. It is a cheap alternative IF your piston isn't all corroded. BTW it's not likely your piston isn't going to be all corroded. Good luck. Carbon brake and wheel installation on a 737 NG
This video shows the removal of an old steel brake (and wheel) and the installation of a new carbon brake assy and (new) wheel on a Boeing 737 next generation. Of course more work is necessary for this modification, like the installation of flow limiters, another AACU, and the bleeding of the brakes, testing etc. Refer to the applicable Service Bulletin and the AMM for all correct procedures. We used some new tools for easy removal / installation of the wheels and brakes. This video is for information only and may NEVER be used as a guide to install brakes and wheel on a 737. See more 737 videos at sjap's 737 maintenance experience exchange website at www.sjap.nl This video was made with a mobile phone and therefore the quality is not that good, but good enough to see whats happening.

Exclusive Brembo Brakes New GT-R High Performance Brake System
Official Automotive Passport presents an exclusive look at the Brembo GT-R High Performance Brake System with with Automotive Guru, Vincent. The knowledge accumulated through years of experience in engineering brakes for race cars has led the Brembo High Performance Division to launch the exclusive GT-R line. It has been developed to fit a select number of street applications including but not limited to Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Chevrolets Corvette and new Camaro applications. The GT-R system has been designed for the driver who demands exceptional performance on the street and on the track. It includes 4 or 6-piston monobloc calipers, two-piece floating brake rotors, a selection of friction materials and all the necessary hardware to insure seamless installation. The GT-R calipers machined entirely from billet provide both the benefits and look of a racing brake system: more stiffness, lighter weight (GT-R calipers achieve a weight reduction up to 10 percent compared to casted versions) and more thermo-mechanical resistance, critical in high-performance applications. The two-piece floating rotors reduce unsprung weight and dissipate heat faster. The nickel-plated finish provides additional treatment against corrosion and ensures a more attractive look. The pistons, complete with stainless steel inserts, provide an additional heat barrier virtually eliminating fade even during max-limit and on-track driving. In addition, the calipers provide less brake fluid absorption and a stiffer pedal feel delivering consistent clamping force suited for drivers wanting to make the most of every second.
