DD 453-T runs away! rack gets stuck on valve cover. almost lost some
fingers too, it was all i could find. F'ed up new turbo compressor wheel, was only damage
1959 Kenworth 2 stick shifting practice - Part 1
When filmed this was the 3rd time driving my 1959 CC 925 Kenworth truck.
Has a 4 speed main and 3 speed auxilliary transmission and 4.10 gearing.
Engine is an NHCT 270 Cummins. Out for a short drive and to practice
shifting. Gotta learn by doing. By the time it got restored I could get
anywhere I needed to go without a lot of drama. Truck has since gone
through a significant restoration. See more recent videos to see some of
the changes. And yes I know I sucked in this video but like I said - only
the 3rd time I had ever driven it and was out for the specific purpose of
improving, started rough and got a little better but not much. Since then

missed a shift or two. Camera and tri pod in the way a little. Shifts
better when the trans a rear warmed up a little more.
The main box 4th and 5th are shifted 2 times when using the 2 speed, 4th
low rear 5th low rear back to 4th high rear then 5th high rear.
Picked up a 5th wheel sider hitch for it. Soon to do some body work and Exhaust stacks up the back side
