BMW DIAGNOSTIC CODES
A built-in BMW, self diagnostic code gives the benefit of troubleshooting a
failure car component, the method to retrieve the faulty codes after Check
Engine light turns on. This method helps car lovers to pin point the
problem and replace the defecting component quickly and cost effectively.
It works on models that have same instruments and LED's layout.

1. Hold Trip Reset while turning ignition key to on position
2. OBC should show "Test"
3. Use Trip Reset to select function 19.0 that unlocks all the features
3. Wait for display to show "Off"
4. Depress Trip Reset for 1/4 second and release it
5. With no delay press Trip Reset several times to select one of the

How to program / setup a new BMW E46 key fob 330 325

A brief how to on setting up a new BMW key. This was done on a 2001 E46
1) Insert new key.
2) Turn to the #1 position and back five times.
3) Remove key
4) Press and hold the unlock button on the key
5) While holding the unlock button, press the lock button three times.
Once these steps are done, the car should lock and unlock the doors a few
times to let you know you were successful.
Once this is done, you can start the car and use the key as usual.

The method of clearing engine light needs to pass inspection. If you have
check engine light turning on after the car runs for several miles. Park to
nearest Inspection station, and after clearing Check Engine Light, bring in
for inspection. This is good only for car manufactured before 1996 BMW. It
also reset all the fault code BMW.
