Volunteer Summer in Alabama
June 1, 2012 marked the start of Honda Manufacturing of Alabama's (HMA) Sixth Annual Volunteer Summer. Each summer, HMA volunteers in red t-shirts descend on communities across central and east Alabama to donate their time and service to non-profit organizations. With the season well under way, associates are already out in full force, organizing activities and providing much needed sweat equity for their for their favorite charities and organizations -- and earning money for the charities at the same time. Participating associates volunteer five hours of service to a certified nonprofit organization of their choice between June 1 -- August 31. In turn, HMA will donate $100 to that organization. This year, associates have already spent time landscaping, painting and performing maintenance at White Plains High School in Calhoun County and Talladega High School in Talladega County. Another group of more than 50 associates spent a day in Cherokee County coordinating registration, preparing meals, serving lunches, providing day care and event support at the annual Rhizo's Kids International Conference held near Centre. Rhizo Kids is an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the debilitating childhood illness Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP). Volunteer Summer is an outgrowth of HMA's HondaStar associate volunteer program. It serves as a catalyst to encourage associates to participate in volunteer activities in their communities.

Redline Review: 2013 Honda Civic Si
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/2Redline Instagram: http://instagram.com/sofyan_bey Subscribe today for all the latest reviews! With the demise of the S2000, NSX, and Prelude, the 2013 Civic Si stands as one of the last fun to drive vehicles in Honda's current line-up. While its turbocharged competition may sound better on paper, drops of that old "Honda magic" can still be found throughout this vehicle earning it a top spot in its segment. If you are in the market for a well rounded sport compact to serve as your daily driver, this vehicle should be at the top of your list. *Promotional consideration brought to you by Honda of Tyson's Corner located at 1580 Spring Hill Road, Vienna VA, 22182*

Honda Civic Concept at 2015 New York International Auto Show
Today Honda unveiled its ultra-sporty Civic Concept at the New York International Auto Show as the brand prepares to launch its completely reimagined 10th-Generation Civic models beginning this fall. With a sharper focus on spirited performance and class-leading versatility, the new Civic lineup will include Civic Sedan, Coupe and Si models along with the return of the Civic hatchback, followed by the launch of a new Civic Type-R as the performance flagship of the Civic lineup. The new Civic also will be the first U.S. model to apply new VTEC® turbo engines from the company's Earth Dreams Technology™ powertrain series. "The new Civic will be, flat out, the most dynamic, the most technologically advanced and the most refined and stylish Civic we've ever made," said John Mendel, executive vice president, Automobile Division, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "In every way, this will be an epic Civic." The Civic Concept provides a tantalizing glimpse forward to the thrilling design direction for the all-new 10th-generation Civic lineup launching in the U.S. this fall. Featuring a longer wheelbase and lower, wider stance, the new Civic emphasizes its aggressive personality and the engaging experience it will provide behind the wheel. Proportionally it boasts a longer hood, a shorter front overhang, a more set-back greenhouse and a shorter rear deck, lending the Civic a more athletic and "in motion" appearance. The low and wide proportions are underscored by its more aggressive wheel-to-body relationship and pronounced fender arches. Its sporty and expressive face is highlighted by bright new LED headlights flanking the "Flying H" Honda grille which is supported by deeply sculpted lower air intakes. "Charismatic, connected and athletic, our goal was to create a design that is emotional and sporty yet with a sense of timelessness and simplicity," said Guy Melville-Brown, Exterior Design Leader of the Civic concept, Honda R&D Americas, Inc. "In this we set out to create a vehicle that goes beyond the superficial and embraces the very philosophy of what a true Civic should be; it’s a real game changer." The 10th-generation Civic is based on a compact platform that targets benchmark levels of efficiency, dynamic performance, safety and manufacturing productivity. Leveraging this new platform in conjunction with new Earth Dreams Technology™ powertrains – including a new 1.5-liter VTEC® turbo engine with direct injection, a short-shifting 6-speed manual transmission, and a new, more sporty and efficient continuously variable transmission (CVT) – the Civic will target class-leading fuel economy ratings and fun-to-drive performance with near-luxury levels of cabin quietness and ride refinement. The new Civic will also target class-leading levels of safety performance and will offer the Honda Sensing™ suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies, including Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Honda LaneWatch™, along with Honda's next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure. The new Civic marks the first time that global development of both the sedan and coupe models is being led by a North American R&D team, with design led by a team from Honda's Los Angeles design studio and development centered in the company's Raymond, Ohio vehicle development center. The North American version of the Civic Sedan will be produced in Greensburg, Indiana, and in Alliston, Ontario. The Civic Coupe and Si models will also be manufactured in Alliston. The VTEC turbo engine will be produced in Anna, Ohio with engines also produced in Alliston. The CVT will be produced in Russells Point, Ohio. Together, these four Honda plants have invested in new equipment, processes and training to prepare for new Civic production, which will use domestic and globally sourced parts. Production of the five-door hatchback will take place at the company's Swindon, UK plant. Honda is in the midst of a series of major product launches that began with the freshened CR-V – 2015 Motor Trend Sport Utility of the Year – and continues with the spring launch of the all-new 2016 Honda HR-V crossover and the summer launch of the redesigned 2016 Honda Pilot SUV. This will be followed by the new Civic release beginning this fall.

Like us on Facebook @ http://www.Facebook.com/2Redline Honda's current generation Civic has been such a disappointment, does the Si still have what it takes? Honda Mean Mower vs BTCC Honda Civic
To celebrate reaching 100,000 subscribers on YouTube, we've released a video which is a little different to the rest. Subscribe to our YouTube channel here: http://bit.ly/11Ad1j1 Subscribe to the mag http://subscribe.autoexpress.co.uk/yt Reigning Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Champion Gordon Shedden will be aiming to keep off the grass when he heads to Silverstone for the final round of this year's series on 13 October. But he took time out from his preparations to have a bit of fun, lining up on the grid with three-time champ and team-mate Matt Neal on a special mower created by their Team Dynamics squad. The Mean Mower is a bit different to Gordon and Matt's Honda Yuasa Racing Civics. It's based on a Honda HF2620 lawn tractor, but the regular 20bhp 614cc V-twin engine has made way for a 1,000cc V-Twin from a Honda Firestorm motorbike. This delivers 110bhp, and gives a power-to-weight ratio of 520bhp per tonne -- enabling the mower to do 0-60mph in under four seconds and hit 130mph. To cope with this huge pace, the regular mower chassis has been replaced with a chromoly spaceframe. Suspension and wheels from an ATV help Boost the handling, plus there's a body-hugging racing seat and Alcantara steering wheel with buttons for the sequential gearbox. This drives the rear wheels via a chain to a rear axle sourced from a go-kart. Yet this amazing machine can still cut grass. The steel cutting bed is replaced by a lighter fibreglass version, and isn't connected to the petrol engine. Instead, two electric motors spin a 3mm wire cable at 4,000rpm -- proper blades could be a bit dangerous at 100mph. The Mean Mower is similar in concept to a Yuasa Racing Civic, which is taken off the production line in Swindon, Wilts, and heavily modified. While the chassis and body are retained, the interior is stripped out and a roll cage fitted. New front and rear sub-frames are installed, as are racing-spec suspension and brakes. And while the 2.0-litre engine uses the same block as the old Civic Type R, a turbocharger is added and most of the internals are changed. Total output is around 330bhp, which allows the Yuasa Civic to do up to 160mph. But how would the BTCC racer compare with the Mean Mower on a lap of Rockingham's National Circuit in Northants? The track is 1.7 miles long, has a range of corners and plenty of grass that could do with a trim... "The only way the mower could win round here is to literally cut corners," said Matt. "But if it doesn't, it has no chance. In fact, I reckon I could give it a 40-second head start and still cross the finish line first." Was Neal right to be so confident? The way the mower stumbled off the starting line suggested so. Its tall first gear makes for lazy getaways -- be too aggressive and the engine will stall. But once moving, the Mean Mower soon gets into its stride. In a straight line, it's quite impressive -- but the narrow track makes it tricky through corners. Still, after 40 seconds, the mower had completed over a third of a lap -- leaving the car with plenty of catching up to do. In fact, the Civic didn't have the mower in its sights until it rounded the penultimate corner. This was going to be close. As the BTCC racer entered the final hairpin, the Mean Mower was exiting it and heading down the home straight -- just a few hundred metres from victory. But the distance to the finish line proved just enough for the Civic to close the gap. In the end it pipped the mower at the post, by the narrowest of margins. We checked the stopwatch: the BTCC car had taken one minute 18.2 seconds to do a standing-start lap. The mower completed it in one minute 59 seconds -- a difference of 40.8 seconds. We know who won the moral victory, though, as the Civic can't trim your grass! Little wonder that these Honda stars are keen to be handed the Mean Mower to cut some blades of glory in their gardens during the close season.

My Supercharged Civic Si vs 2012 Mustang 5.0
Mustang driver messed up which worked to my advantage. They get off the line so good though. Gotta get grip in my 1st/2nd to be able to take them regularly. Tires/Wheels are coming soon hopefully... Also, at beginning of the video the dude on the motor cycle first stalled out... then got mad and rev'd it up and dumped it. He almost lost full control of the bike it slid out from underneath him a little but he saved it (good thing!) and took off down the track. My mirror covers most of it unfortunately.
