Quick start of my 1987 Saab 9000 Turbo
Got the Saab out today and decided to give it a quick rev on camera. I did warm the car up fully before doing this. Sort of reminds me of an old Group B rally car...
The following modifications have been performed to the car:
3" downpipe to test pipe to 3" tubing all the way back to single muffler
T3/T4 Trim 60 hybrid running at 18lbs
31lb Bosch injectors
Group 9 Stage 1+ APC
3 bar fuel pressure regulator
K&N filter
Yes,it's running a bit rich thanks to LH not being able to deal with 31lb injectors but I will be getting the LH reflashed as well as purchasing 34lb injectors so I can set the Boost at around 20lbs then after that it'll be new shocks all around and some new brake pads.
Saab 900 turbo on the Stelvio Pass
On August 15th 2010, we drove a MY84 Saab 900 T16 and a MY88 Saab 900 Aero up and over the Stelvio Pass; also formally known as the 'best driving road in the world' (Jeremy Clarkson - Top Gear). Besides the fact that we had to cope with rain, hail and the occasional campervan, it was a delight and the best day ever spent in an old Saab.
