Buried Belvedere Lid Removal 2
Tulsa's Buried Belvedere Lid Section #2 being removed.
These are some of the first glimpses of the car that had been buried 50 years.
"On June 15, 2007, a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere buried in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the 1957 Tulsarama! was freed from its concrete vault under the Tulsa Courthouse lawn."

Touring a Volkswagen Graveyard (MK I, Scirocco, Rabbit, Beetle) 2010
Just a few photos from my last visit to a Volkswagen junkyard, where nothing has been crushed since the 1970's or so. I was one of a few people who were able to freely roam, with my toolbox...a camera... and a chainsaw. What I saw would make a VW fan sad.... Swallowtails, vintage aircooled, Sciroccos, Rabbits...all slowly being taken over by a pine forest. I ended up with some parts for my projects. Some beckon to be saved; odds are good that things remain exactly the same as you see now...only deeper into the ground...
Abandoned cars in forgotten junkyard
These pictures were taken in May of 2010 in the Michigan woods. The junkyard is permanently closed and has posted no trespassing signs all over the place. I spoke to the person who owns the property and was given special permission to explore. This site covers 120 acres and is packed with cars from the 1930's on up. I only had an hour to look and it must be done on foot. Enjoy the pics, places like this just don't exist anymore. Truely a rare find. Thanks to my buddy Chris for the tip on this hot spot.

1951 Ford wrecker pulling antique cars out of barn Pt2
1955 Olds Super 88 coming out of barn on cable; any brakes that were stuck slid on the oil tracks we spread on the concrete; it had been parked in there since 1983 when I drove it in 25 years ago.
