2018 Audi RS5 Interior - Better than BMW M3 Interior?
The RS5, and also the RS4 Avant for that matter, will be powered by the fruit of Audi and Porsche’s combined efforts, the manifestation of which is a new 2.9-liter twin turbocharged V6 engine. According to the leak, the new RS5 will produce 450 hp, which is, there’s no other word for it, disappointing. Although 450 is a big enough number for most applications, it’s the same amount as the outgoing RS5, and you could be forgiven for wanting more. But we at least now have every assurance that Audi Sport isn’t just slacking, because spy photographers have caught the souped up Audi testing in the snow. Despite the distinct dearth of RS5 in Audi dealerships, we know a surprising amount about the car thanks to leaked documents from a Motor1 reader. The RS5, and also the RS4 Avant for that matter, will be powered by the fruit of Audi and Porsche’s combined efforts, the manifestation of which is a new 2.9-liter twin turbocharged V6 engine. Although 450 is a big enough number for most applications, it’s the same amount as the outgoing RS5, and you could be forgiven for wanting more. Audi Sport’s got you covered, though. Along with that 450 hp, the new RS5 will produce a healthy 446 lb-ft of torque, which is over 100 lb-ft more than the outgoer and as we all well know torque wins races. All the extra torque should get the RS5 to 60 in fewer than four seconds (an improvement of at least half a second) and all the way up to a top speed of 155 mph, but the dynamic package will get allow you to hit roughly 175 mph.

BMW M celebrates the 30th anniversary of its benchmark-setting high-performance sports car the BMW M3 2017. Munich. With the launch of the first generation of the BMW M3 in 1986, the BMW M GmbH, at that time operating under the name BMW Motorsport GmbH, revolutionized the sporty mid-range segment. No other manufacturer had previously ever deployed genuine motorsports technology so consistently in order to transform a high-volume production model like the BMW M3 2017 3 Series into a thoroughbred high-performance sports car that is also fully suitable for everyday use. The first BMW M3 set the standard by which other manufacturers were measured. Meanwhile, BMW M has continuously refined its BMW M3 2017 automotive icon across five model generations. And over all these years the BMW M3 has retained its original character. Probably no other BMW M3 2017 combines distinct racing genes and unrestricted day-to-day suitability into such a highly emotional overall concept. To mark the 30th anniversary of this BMW M3 icon this summer, BMW M is launching the exclusive special edition of the BMW M3 “30 Years M3”, which is limited to 500 cars worldwide. BMW M3 2017 Edition “30 Years M3” in the legendary colour Macao Blue metallic. As a tribute to the first generation of the BMW M3, the anniversary BMW M3 2017 edition “30 Years M3” is painted in the exclusive exterior colour Macao Blue metallic, which once celebrated its premiere in BMW’s colour range as a special option for the first generation of the BMW M3. The BMW M3 2017 edition “30 Years M3” builds on the Competition Package, which is optionally available for the BMW M3 series production model. BMW M3 2017 comprises an increase in engine output by 14 kW/19 hp to 331 kW/450 hp (BMW M3 “30 Years M3”: combined fuel consumption: 8.8–8.3 l/100 km, combined BMW M3 2017 CO2 emissions: 204–194 g/km). Also included in the BMW M3 2017 Competition Package is the Adaptive M suspension, which has been comprehensively aligned to the increased performance. Optimised BMW M3 2017 features also include new springs, dampers and stabilisers, modified characteristic curves of the three modes COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+). For the first time in a M performance vehicle, an electric power steering unit will be used. The steering system will be specifically tuned for the M3 and M4. The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3-Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M. M3 models have been derived from the E30, E36, E46 and E90/E92/E93 3-series, and sold with coupé, saloon and convertible body styles. More powerful and responsive engines, improved handling/suspension/braking systems, aerodynamic body enhancements, and interior/exterior accents with the tri-colour "M" (Motorsport) emblem. Over the years the M3 and M5 have become the benchmark vehicle against which most sport sedans in its class are compared despite competition from Mercedes-AMG and Audi Quattro GmbH (Audi RS). The last M3 coupe rolled off the assembly line in Germany on 5 July 2013. The M3 name will remain with the sedan, but the coupe model will be replaced by the M4 beginning with the 2014 model year. The launch of the new BMW M3 Sedan and new BMW M4 Coupe and carrying the BMW M philosophy over into the fifth generation of the M3. More than 40,000 examples of the fourth-generation BMW M3 Coupe were built, and now the BMW M4 Coupe is poised to continue this success story. The "M4" badge is a reference to the model series that provides the basis for the new M model -- and, for the first time, the Coupe will be introduced at the same time as the four-door variant. Logic dictates the latter will be christened the BMW M3 Sedan. "Four generations of the BMW M3 have blended motor sport genes and uncompromised everyday usability within an emotionally rich overall concept," explains Dr Friedrich Nitschke, President BMW M GmbH. "The BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe represent an ongoing commitment to this philosophy. The engine is the heart of every M model, and the new turbocharged six- cylinder unit fitted in the two new cars combines the virtues of a high-revving naturally aspirated unit with the strengths of turbocharger technology. The BMW M3 and BMW M4 take motor sport technology from the track to the road, and thousands of laps of the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife." BMW M3 Price $60,000 Sedan . BMW M3 top speed 155 mph.
