The monstrous hood scoops and huge air vents added to the all black

LT1 383 stroker hotcam
Here's a short video of my Formula after my motor swap. It got a 383 LT1
with an Edelbrock performer air gap 58mm intake, hotcam and the bulletproof
MSD optispark. Other upgrades are 410 rear gears with a detroit locker, SLP
coated stainless headers with loudmouth 1 all the way back, Edelbrock
adjustable coilovers, and a stage 3 clutch. I have owned this car for ten
years, and the motor had about 170K miles on it before It lost oil pressure
at idle, and blew a head gasket, but even with these problems, it was still
drivable, and it still did great burnouts. I am going to build a 396 with
the original motor.
DEATH OF A TRANS AM WS6!!
After a year of beating on the stock block after all the mods, and
approaching 98k miles, the LS1 block finally started having excessing
blow-by in the cylinders and also blowing oil into the upper crankcase
housing. It ran strong, producing idle launch 1/4 times of 12.4 @ 118MPH.
But....IT'S TIME TO GO BIG!! Updates on the way...
Car has LS1 motor, cam, Dart Pro 1 stage 3 heads, headers, Borla Exhaust, cutout, LS6 intake, lid, K&N, tune, ASP
pulley, Hurst shifter, shift light, Nitto Drag Radials, DragLite wheels,
Moser 4.10 gears and more.
Motor work was done at East Texas Muscle Cars. Airbrushing by Allen Jonez -
lid design is from the Disturbed Ten Thousand Fists album.
