Muscle Car Of The Week Video #41: 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L88 427 Roadster
The Corvette changed for 1968, evolving into the 3rd generation for the
American sports car. The sleek new styling looks like full speed standing
still, a trait shared by most Corvettes. This week's Muscle Car Of The Week
could be considered the top-gun of all '68 Corvettes, as it carries a 500+
HP 427 under the hood, an optioned named the "L88". L88 cars featured not
only a distinctive hood, but a whole list of performance enhancements...
the F41 performance suspension, J56 heavy duty brakes, a Muncie M22 4-speed
transmission, and of course, the 12.5:1 compression 427 V8. The LeMans Blue
roadster in the Brothers Collection is one of only 80 built in '68, and it
might look like a nice Sunday cruiser, but it was a thinly disguised race
car sold to the public!
Muscle Car Of The Week Video #42: 1969 Dodge Daytona
REVISED with CORRECTED ENDING
This '69 Charger Daytona in the Brothers Collection is one of 502 built,
and 1 of 294 with the 440 engine. With its aerodynamic nose piece and
towering rear wing, this is definitely the most outlandish design from the
muscle car era. But those features weren't added to shock and sell, they
were shaped to be kings of the Nascar Super Speedways. In this episode of
Muscle Car Of The Week, we'll tell you all about it
Muscle Car Of The Week Video #43: 1961 Ford Starliner Video
The world was a different place back in 1961, and the space-age styling of
the 1961 Ford Starliner tells the tale. This car technically pre-dates the
Muscle Car era, but the available 401 HP 390 made it a screamer on the
street and stock car tracks. This week's car has been up-fitted with a 427
cube V8 topped with 3 2-barrel carbs, a setup you could get in 1963, but it
looks right at home in the bay of this Starliner. There are many neat
styling features on this car, including the thin-pillared sloping rear
glass with zinc plated and polished stars, the subtitle tail fins, and the
twin "rocket Exhaust" tail lights.
It's one car from the Brothers Collection that is out of this world!

This is an unusual NRE Dyno room visit. First, this
beast broke the Dyno
again. Second, this engine is one of the meanist engines Tom has ever
designed. Tom has to go to extreme measures to test this extreme horsepower engine. Then
there is the issue of the encounter with the Black Hole. Man that is
crazy! The City of Chatsworth seems to have questions. Its not our fault!

1927 Ford: Double-Trouble -- /BIG MUSCLE
• Gordon Tronson
In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as
big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as
"Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated
from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with
four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for
an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the
rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling
a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all
your naughty bits tingle.

This engine has previously run 8.79 at 160.25mph (with less power) in a
