300D Mercedes - Bleeding Engine
$300 car, all it needed was a bleeding and then it drove great. It was
sitting in this guy's yard for 2 1/2 years with air in the engine due to a
loose fuel filter. He thought it was broken so he gave it away =] engine
has only 195,000 miles on it, which is nothing for these cars. It has the
standard straight 5 engine.
I will be using this car in my first veggie oil conversion project.

A classic Mercedes-Benz W123 230E with a complete history file from new.
Wide opening doors, concealed ventilation slots, soft-touch door handles,
laminated windscreen, crumple zones, anti-burst locks, halogen headlamps
with integral foglamp, height adjustable driver's seat, front and rear
central armrests, magazine nets, noise-dampening package, twin-nozzle
windscreen washer, large padded steering wheel with Zebrano wood, Zebrano
gear knob, lockable glove compartment, driver's left foot rest, interior
light switch delay, 'lights on' buzzer, warning triangle, Mercedes-Benz
tool roll, central locking, lamp in rear, oil pressure gauge, fuel reserve

This timeless Mercedes-Benz is finished in Metallic Champagne, (colour code
473), and oozes charm and character with a bright metallic shine. All
chrome bumpers, radiator grille, door mirrors door handles and window
surround are immaculate. There is a small isolated area on the boot where
the lacquer has lifted and tiny micro-blisters on very close inspection.
The lower front valance has some small touch up marks. Massively
impressive from any angle and structurally perfect with a clean, fresh
appearance. A wonderful example of elegant design and remarkable

interior. Finished in Cream Velour, (code 955) a light and spacious
environment greets the owner. The clean seats show no wear and are very
comfortable with 'breathing covers' and contoured shaping to support the
body. The high quality deep pile carpets are in amazing condition having
been protected from new by original fit Mercedes-Benz over-mats. As with
the rest of the interior, the wood veneer remains in excellent condition
and all the gauges, controls and electrics operate perfectly. There is a
small mark on the rear parcel shelf and rear seat top. The Mercedes-Benz
tool roll is complete and the first aid kit is still preserved and retained
in the original polythene wrapping. Perfect detail and fine appointments
all representative of a cherished Mercedes-Benz.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The four-cylinder in-line engine with fuel injection produces 136bhp and
has tremendous torque low in the engine speed range offering relaxed and
flexible power delivery. Incredibly smooth thanks in part to fine
engineering of all moving parts but also to an additional vibration damper
on the crankshaft it offers sheer cruising pleasure. The optional
four-speed torque convertor transmission is seamless in operation. An
altogether flawless and assuring drive. Mercedes-Benz at its best.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Steel wheels with original chrome Mercedes-Benz hubcaps, colour coded,
remain on the car. The hubcaps are in beautiful condition with a few minor
markings. Shod in quality 175/80 R14 Firestone F580 tyres. Dual-circuit
power braking system with front brake pad wear indicators give the car a
steady and assured feel as you would except from Mercedes-Benz.
Factory ordered on the 14th May 1984 by Mrs P Moody at a cost of
£13,557.54 and delivered by Rivervale of Brighton Ltd on the 2nd of
October 1984 this vehicle remained in her care for 18 years. Left to her
Housekeepers on passing away they continued to cherish the car keeping it
religiously maintained and garaged. After 6 years of ownership the car has
been enjoyed by four Mercedes advocates and has twice been sold by Cheshire
Classic Benz Ltd, the lastest in 2010 for the sum of £6200.
Original maintenance books, handbooks and purchase invoice remain with the

I only paid 300 dollars for it, the guy thought it had a blown engine, but
it turned out the timing on the injector pump was way off. I ended up
taking the injector pump off and putting it on the right teeth, and doing
the drip test, and etc.
