2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat vs. 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray vs. 2015 Dodge Challenger Review
As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and the Dodge Challenger in the front seats.
With the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray you will definitely be making fewer
stops at the gas station than with the Dodge Challenger, due to its larger
tank size and better fuel economy.
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of
a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price
(MSRP). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will definitely make more of a dent
in your wallet than the Dodge Challenger, which has a much lower MSRP.
Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge
for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and the Dodge Challenger have similar
Since the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is much slimmer than the Dodge
Challenger, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded
parking lot. If you go with the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, you'll have a
much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with
the Dodge Challenger.
With its lower torque, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray doesn't do as good a
job transmitting power to its wheels as the Dodge Challenger.
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has less horsepower than the Dodge
Challenger, so it will probably be somewhat slower.
Those who have to chauffeur around a lot of people should beware, the
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray seats a lot fewer people than the Dodge
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray comes with essentially the same basic
warranty as the Dodge Challenger.

Real Drivers: Dodge Neon SRT4
Although Vermont teased us with warm weather last week, and many specialty
vehicles emerged from their winter hibernation as a result, it cooled off
quite a bit before this shoot could be arranged. But while this film of
Andrew Corvo's sleeper SRT4 may be dotted with snowflakes instead of
pollen, it's still an opportunity to learn about a very unique (and

2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Review Outside & Inside
2012 Dodge CHARGER SRT8 Car Reviews & Specs
The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 comes closer than the previous generation at
actually deserving to wear that iconic "charger" badging. This charger
really has that muscle car feel radiating from it, making the driver feel
pretty tough while driving this monster. Its intimidating exterior is made
possible by the factory aero, aggressive front fascia, and its stance. The
car's stance is set off by its factory 20-inch wheels and the fact that it
sits much lower than it used too.
Its aggressive look and stance is equally matched by its superior
performance. The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 came with a 6.1-liter Hemi V-8
that produces 425 hp, however, the 2012 300 SRT8 received the 6.4-liter
Hemi V-8, first appearing in the 2011 Challenger SRT8 392. This new engine
can produce 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, meaning it has a 40 hp gain and
an additional 45 lb-ft more of torque. Chrysler estimates that the "0-60
mph acceleration is in the high 4-second range."
The transmission for the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 is a 5-speed automatic
that is also seen in the base model except it doesn't include the paddle
shifters on the steering wheel. The one complaint we have about this car is
that the brakes are a little moody, sometimes working well and other times,
it's difficult to brake. Other than this, the car has more than enough
power to handle what you throw at it. The official top speed is right at
175 mph but we feel that it might have a little more pep than that and is
able to stop from 60-0 mph in 120 feet. The new Charger SRT8 comes equipped
with four-piston Brembo calipers, the 14.2-inch rotors in the front and the
13.8-inch discs in the back. Seeing how this car is still a sedan,
realistically it's going to be pretty heavy. The official curb weight is
You would think that all this extra performance would lead to worse fuel
economy but because of the new active valve Exhaust system, a twenty-five percent increase
in fuel efficiency is gained. The Exhaust system works by allowing the big block
to drop down to four-cylinder mode over a much wider RPM band than before.
This system has made the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 average about 23 miles per
gallon on the highway.
The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 comes complete with an Adaptive Damping System,
which adjusts the suspension under any driving condition while taking
vehicle speed, steering angle and throttle position into consideration.
Drivers have the ability to choose from Auto to Sport settings, and
depending on which setting you choose, it will automatically change the
shock damping as well as the ride comfort.
The interior of this car has a lot of luxurious amenities including
ventilated seats, fancy door paneling, comfortable seats, and it even comes
with a huge trunk. The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 has a new 8.4-inch color
instrument panel that's has a touchscreen display. Our favorite part about
this instrument panel is the different digital gauges that let you know
your steering angle, horsepower and torque
outputs. These gauges have a cool blue lighting that we found provided a
very relaxing experience. We also like the fact that this long vehicle has
blind spot indicators making it easy to maneuver in this rather larger
sedan. The interior redefines what you would expect from Dodge. Pricing
starts at $46,795, which is pretty reasonable for such a luxurious,
