1984 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbodiesel start and full tour Part 1

This is the Merc 300D I posted a video on earlier. I finally got around to do a video on it last weekend, but I have been busy this week. The car hadn't been started for a couple days. The car is VERY well built. Please note that the climate control would not shut off because of the owner bypassed the circuitry to allow the fan to run at full power due to a vacuum leak. I hope everybody enjoys this video!

If you are not careful you can drive the seal back into the elbow thus allowing unfiltered air to enter the turbo charger compressor section. Kent feels the problem is in the design of the upper seal. In this video he will go over the problem and why may people miss it. This applies to most 1978 to 1984 300D 300CD 300TD and 300SD models with the five cylinder turbo diesel engine.
