67-68 Cougar Buying Guide: What To Look For
In this video, Don does a detailed inspection on a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 to show some of the things you should look for when buying one of these classic cars. Some of the insight here can potentially save you hundreds, even thousands, when you go to negotiate with a seller. Also, it will help those of you trying to sell, to more accurately advertise the strengths and weaknesses of your car. We've also done a similar video with a 1970 Cougar convertible, so you may want to check that out too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fizb2vo68vA To look up the parts mentioned in this video, visit http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com Subscribe to our channel to keep up with our latest uploads! Building "Reprise" - A Custom 1951 Mercury
Over the last several years Bio Kustumz has been building this '51 Merc for Jerry Horton, the Guitarist for band Papa Roach. What started as a simple fix-it job uncovered some devastated metal work under loads of bondo. Bio Kustumz began hand forming each body panel, rechopped the roof and even machined their own wheels. Reprise will be featured in the Kinetik Audio SEMA booth this year. Filmed-Edited by Brian Goude Color correction by Cody Gephart Music: Papa Roach - Forever

Mercury Cougar - American Muscle Car
An excellent TV show featuring the classic Mercury Cougar. They cover all the classic years, and talk about all the different engines and option packages you could get. Only a couple minor mistakes (they say the that XR-7 package included a 4-speed stick, then show an automatic shifter in one... derrr) but overall a very nice overview of these cars.

1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible 351 Cleveland V8
I thought you might like a look at this 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible. It is a very well-preserved original survivor, with only 88,xxx miles on the odometer. It's powered by the numbers matching 351 Cleveland 2 BBL V8, backed by a C6 automatic trans. All the power is sent back to the extremely durable 9 inch rear. The interior is all original and is in very good condition. It really is in remarkable condition, given it's age. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look! 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible
http://www.motoexotica.com/inventory/6008/1972_Mercury__Cougar.htm • Beautiful Blue & White Convertible! • Incredible Two Tone Interior! • 351ci V8! • Automatic Transmission! Mercury Cougar is the name applied to a diverse series of automobiles sold by the Mercury division of Ford Motor Company from 1967 to 2002. As was common with Mercury vehicles, the Cougar shared basic platforms with Ford models. Originally, this was the Mustang, later the Thunderbird, and the last a version of the Contour. The Cougar was important to Mercury's image for many years, and advertising often identified its dealers as being "at the sign of the cat." Female models holding big cats on leashes were used on Cougar ads in the early 1970s. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer the handsome 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible. The '72 Cougar XR-7 you see today is said to be a 93,931 original mile car that is finished in the original color combination of Bright Blue Metallic with White/Blue interior. The paint looks very good and shows no major spots of imperfections, just a few minor spots of touch up. The power white convertible top is equally as nice with no staining, rips or tears to the vinyl. The rear window is glass. Inside, the White/ Blue vinyl interior is the original for the car and in great condition. The carpet appears to have been replaced recently and is in great condition. The dash, door panels, arm rest and wood grain trim are all equally as nice with on major wear showing. Under the hood, the 351 cubic inch V8 runs great and starts with a turn of the key. The motor is said to be the original for the car and still retains its original 2 barrel carburetor, power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning. The air conditioning is currently inoperable but it appears to only be in need of a charge. The engine is nicely detailed and very original. No damage to be found. The motor is connected to the three speed automatic transmission which shifts smoothly and performs with no problems. Under the car is very solid with no rot that we have seen. It appears to be all original metal under this original southern car. The VIN is 2F94H517485 and the mileage currently shows 93,931, which is believed to be original for the car. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
